Name: "Jack Abberline".
Age: Suspected 62.
Gender: Male.
Race: Vampire.
History: The vampire known as Jack Abberline has a past as black as his soul.
In life, he stalked Whitechapel as the serial killer known as
"Jack the Ripper". Responsible for the murders of countless women,
the Ripper was cold, and surgically efficiant. Then, one night, he
happened upon a young woman. Although he was bloodied, and standing
over the mutilated corpse of his latest victim, the woman did not flee
from him, or even show any sign of fear. Instead, she took interest.
Then his world crashed with her's, and his life ended, replaced by
something far darker. The woman, actually a 306 year old vampire,
took him into her world of blood, changing him into an immortal being.
In return for her "gift", he entered into her eternal service, beginning
his new unlife.
Personality: Whereas Jack can sometimes appear rather cold, he is in fact a lot deeper than he first seems. He has a natural ability to charm, which combined with
his vampiric attraction makes him remarkably gifted at convincing others to
see and beleive what he wants them to. Although he always seems calm, it is
a carefuly practised act that he puts on to hide the madness that rages within him.
Jack takes a dark interest in damaged women. No more shall be said on the matter.
Character Facts/Traits: 1) Jack's name is taken from two people. His first name, Jack, comes from the nickname he was given during life; "Jack the Ripper". In a stroke of twisted black humor, he chose Abberline as his last. This he took from Inspector Frederik Abberline; the detective who chased him in life.
2) Often, Jack will introduce himself as one of a list of false
names. These include: Walter Sickert.
William Gull.
James Maybrick.
Michael Barrett.
"Eddy".
This is again the result of his sick sense of humour, as these
are all the names of people who were at some point suspected of
being Jack the Ripper.
3) Jack is gifted with knives. This comes from his training as both
a butcher and a surgeon. Through this training, he reached a
terrifying level of skill, once removing a victim's kidney in
dark, in tight conditions, from the front, without damaging any
of the other organs. He carried his skills over into his unlife,
favouring knives as his chosen weapon. Rarely is he without his
cherished blades.
4) Jack smokes. No one if quite sure why, as, being dead, he obviously
doesn't get a kick out of it. When asked about it, he simply replied,
"It's a habbit even death couldn't break. Like murdering."
5) Jack is protective and loyal beyond words to his mistress, Eliza.
This sense of loyalty seems to run deeper even than his thirst for
blood, or his need to kill.
