SHINee (pronounced 'shiny') is a five member all-male idol group, under Korean entertainment company SM Entertainment. They are described to be a "contemporary R&B South Korean boy band".

The group consists of:
Leader: Lee Jinki (이진기), better known as Onew (온유)
Main vocalist: Kim Jonghyun (김종현)
Rapper: Choi Minho (최민호)
Rapper and singer: Kim Kibum (김기범), more known as Key (키)
Lead dancer: Lee Taemin (이태민)

They debuted on May 25, 2008 with 누난 너무 예뻐 Replay (Noona You're So Pretty Replay), a song from their first mini-album.
SHINee's first full-length album, titled The SHINee World was released on August 2008, 3 months after their debut song.
Romeo, the second mini-album by the group was released on May, 2009. The title song was Juliette, a song written by Jonghyun.
5 months after Romeo, SHINee had a comeback with a new mini-album, 2009: Year of Us. The title track Ring Ding Dong, took Korea by storm with it's unique and catchy lyrics.
On the 19th of July 2010, SHINee unleashed their second full-length album, Lucifer. The title track, also called Lucifer is described to be a "catchy electronic dance song". The music video for the song was released the next day, showcasing the members new edgy 'bad boy' image and the powerful choreography to accompany the electronic music. The album also featured 2 songs written by the two lead vocalists of the group. Your name was written by leader, Onew and Obsession was penned by Jonghyun.
Hello, the repacked version of Lucifer was released on October 1st, featuring 3 new songs:
Hello, One and Get It.

The group's official fanclub is called SHINee World (샤이니월드), which is abbreviated to Shawol and the fandom's color is Pearlescent Sky Blue.

The boys have appeared in Korean variety shows and music programs, including Star King, Star Golden Bell Challenge, Maknae Idol Rebelion, M! Countdown, Music Bank, Music Core and Inkigayo.
SHINee has also starred in 2 reality shows. Their first one being Yuhanam, which follows the boys as they try to win a noona's heart. And Hello Baby: Season 2, where the idol group has to take care of 4 year old boy, Yoogeun.

SHINee has captured their fans' hearts with their soulful music, skilled dancing, cute personalites and flawless faces.
