CHAPTER 2

Circe's adopted mother was against this. "I don't like it, Circe. Not a bit!" Macy firmly stated as she crossed her arms. "Soon enough you'll have vampire teeth like a cat does! Stay here until you're old enough to set out."
"When is that?" Warren pondered for her, telling by her expression that Circe was quizical.
"When she's fourteen, starting high school. We'll find schools for mythical creatures or something like that." Macy planted her hands on her hips.
"Macy." Circe tugged her shirt. Macy gazed down at the Neko. "I don't think there's such a thing."
Samantha, the older girl, sleepily stepped down the curvy staircase. "What's up and HOLY BAKENEKO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" she screamed, wide awake now. Circe sighed.
"You know what she is?" Warren said.
"Um, yeah. A mythical--well, I guess, not mythical--creature called a bakeneko. When she's around twenty years old she'll be like a black walking cat with hair that wears clothes." Samantha replied, sneaking peeks at Circe with her clover green eyes.
"Quit staring!" Circe fussed at her half sister. Samantha's eyes darted towards Warren.
