Fingers deftly avoided the tiny jellyfish in the water.
She giggled softly and lightly tapped the bulb before pulling fingers away. She'd never understand how she became close to such an odd creature. It's not really like she talked to it...But yet they still conversated. Butterscotch eyes watched it intently while it seemingly watched her. It was later in the day, and she was alone in the quiet shallows. No one knew she was here, she didn't like explaining.
He didn't know she was there, she was glad of that.He'd never understand. she sighed and relaxed in the water knowing the bright blue blob wouldnt get close enough to hurt her. They weren't really talking tonight, prefering to relax and not think about their lives.
She closed her eyes an dozed off, not hearing the phone going off in the pocket of her jeans on shore.
He was almost ripping his hair out by the roots! Why wasn't she anwsering? She always anwsered... He tossed his phone onto the bed and frowned, eyes blazing. He was trying to be a patient trusting man, but his trust and his patience was wearing thin with this.
She didn't call him back until hours later. Her heart hammered in her chest and she stammered an apology sounding upset. He yelled at her for a few momens before allowing her to explain. In between broken sobs and stammered words she explained the whole story to him. He blinked, then sighed running a hand through his hair. ''I'll be there shortly. Don't move'', he snapped his phone shut and grabbed his rail card before slipping out the front door; letting it close with a soft click.
(Well now..I feel better.)
