I watched Memphis Beat out of desperation, and discovered it's improved this season. It's one of those shows that looks good on paper and has a wealth of acting talent, but that didn't gel. It's still rough around the edges, but actually watchable. Extra points for the a capella at the wake that actually gave me the chills. It's still not good enough for my watch every week list, but it's moved up to back up show.
