Man, today was a funny day.

So first off, my mom had to go to some far relative's birthday today. Long story short; boring people, gross food, so she was just there to be polite and drive my grandma there. So me and my dad had to cook dinner. So after lunch, out of the blue, he's all like: 'Go get dressed, we're going grocery shopping.' I knew we were, he just forgot to inform me when. I'm always the last one to hear in the house when it involves planning around me. stare

So I'm all dressed and set. I ask my dad: 'What are we going to eat?' He replies: 'I dunno, let's go to the supermarket and see what we'd like to eat.' I'm thinking to myself: 'What the ********!? You plan on going there without the slightest idea on what to buy?' I wasn't planning on being stuck in the supermarket with my dad for ages, so I said: 'Hell no. Where does mom keep her recipes?' So he pulls out this big stack of cards with recipes on them and tells me to pick one. After going through half of it, I pick a quiche. I don't know, I felt like quiche. He plans on taking the recipe and buying everything off the list, but I direct him to the kitchen asking what we already have. Shortening the list greatly, we're finally on our way to the supermarket, which is a ten-minute walk or so.

So we're there, and we buy everything we need for the quiche. Thanks to me taking the lead, we're out of there in less then an hour. I've probably prevented the argument of 'What do you mean, I can't think of anything to eat? You've cooked before!' in the supermarket as well, and afterwards, we pop into the game shop. I decide to buy Castlevania Lords of Shadow, and my dad suggest to pay half of it! Lucky break! Now let's see how mom's going to react, since we didn't ask her first. So we get home and we make the quiche; it was delicious! I'm really proud since it was our first try on the thing. When mom gets home, I'll hope she'll taste it. whee
