Back when winters seemed to brush against our cheeks,
the cold just seeps into our eyes causing us to tear.
Pacing myself through the black lit snow amongst the creeks,
I see you standing alone, in fear.
Approaching you I feel the silence that touches your heart to mine,
almost as if you forbid me to speak for a moment in time.
My boots are covered with the sticking ice,
You look not at but through my eyes,
Hoping my smile will suffice,
you quickly find its an atrocious disguise.
The smile drops as you stare through the white,
are we just living with irrational spite?
I awake from the dream that has captivated me,
Keeping this sadness is to much to bare,
My bawls just fall to the the upcoming sea,
hoping what my heart feels is perfectly fair.
I’m a wrong to feel sad when nothing is wrong?
What is wrong with me?
