So we're back from Portola State Park early today instead of Friday, and that is because we had poor weather. Last night, it clouded up around 7-8 PM and by sunset it had begun drizzling. Although we knew, no such thing was happening at my house. It was very cold at night in the morning. The first day was really fun, we had burgers for dinner and grilled stuff. I had ramune and a grape crush. I shouldn't have had so much soda, but I did. Everyone had marshmallows for dessert, but me? I toasted gummy worms. Both nights. The whole time I was there I spent with my friend, joking around. 2nd day, I spent reading, having another ramune and a Love Potion #69 (This great herbal drink mentioned in the last journal. Only bad thing it has in it is high fructose corn syrup and guarana. Other than that, it has Siberian Ginseng, Jasmine, Buchu, Dillweed, Ginkgobilboa, Clove, Echinacea [REALLY good for immune systems when you're flying.], Damiana, Kola nut, DongQuai (angelica), GotuKola, African Capsicum, and Chamomile. To see this soda, look on thirstydudes.) So now, I have two Grape Crushes left. I'm going to be very careful when opening them, because I want to make the bottlecaps into pins, so I can't afford to bend them. I didn't touch the Pop Rocks yet, so it should be good. On the second day, we had hot dogs and sausages and corn, and I played scrabble, dirty scrabble, and internet scrabble with letter tiles with my friend. (Somehow, I managed to fit in Tardis in the scrabble game.) Real fun. We had to go around 12 today because it was so damn wet and rainy. I was glad to get home to see Anne and take a shower. Because we didn't get to finish our food, tonight I'm going over to my friend's house for pasta night. Yum. <3
ALSO: I saw 8 banana slugs this year. Last year, I only saw two. They're coming back, apparently. Will post pictures soon. Look on my Deviantart.
