Chapter 1: Begining

Jim walked down the hall way. It was a nice fall day in Roosevelt High school. No one was in the school right now, he was the only one. It was Saturday and he was in for a detion. He had just gotten out. Jim was 17 years old, He stood 6' 2 inches, He had long blond hair. He always wore knit hat, Usually balck in color. He had green eyes and was wearing a normal black hoodie, A pair of Emo baggy and saggy green pants. The pants you see at raves or people who do the Shuffel. He had black convers. He was a pretty well know kid at the school, he was one of the cooler guys who no one would mess with. He didn't date because he has his eye on this one girl, Her name was Amy. She had long blond hair that hung at her shoulders. She was 5'6 inches. She always wore black skinny jeans or a black thigh high skrit with striped pink and black stockings and and black convers. She usually wore a tight Pink or blue shirt, or maybe a black hoodie. She was very shy and didn't talk very much. She had just died her hair black with a pink stip down the frount. She was also just getting out of detion. They were both walking down the hall, the Smell of dusty floors and that normal school smell, the tast of his gum as he chewed tiredly. He could see that the leaves wear all over the floor out the window. He was paying attenion to outside when Amy ran into him because she was running from a group of guys. He didn't budge but she feel to the floor. Jim turned his head to see what was going on when he saw Amy on the floor and a couple of guys walking toward them, He picked her up and moved her gently behind his back so that he was between the guys and her. "Do we have a problem?" Jim asked rissing an eyebrow. The group of guys slightly flinched at his tone of voice. They backed up "No Jim, no problem, we were just going to show this girl not to be a b***h and talk s**t to us." One of the bigger men said. Jim sighed softly. "Leave her slone. Just go home already, do you guys not have lives to just be at school for no reason? I mean come on, you never even got in trouble, why are you still here? Go home dumbasses." He said pointing at the door. He didn't even relize that Amy was shacking holding onto his shirt. "Yeah sure Jim we'll leave." they turned and ran. Jim turned and looked at Amy who was now calm. She looked at him and mumbled her thanks as she turned and ran the oppesit way. "Damn shes shy." He shrugged. He walked out the door towards his house. He lived alone because his parents died in a murder a year ago. The judge said that Jim could live in his own house. He lived only a block away from the school so he didn't have to walk that far. The air was cool, the sun was behind clouds. It was raining softly. He say Amy again sitting at the corner shivering. He sighed and walked over to her handing her his hoodie since she wasn't wearing one. "Do you have a ride?" Jim asked, In a soft voice she answered.
"Yeah.... But I have to wait a few hours.... My mom lives out of town..."
Jim replied "Well maybe you should have stayed at then school."
"No... Not with those guys still around there...."
"So your just gonna stand here in the rain?"
She nodded and looked at her feet. Jim sighed looking at the sky. "Well how about you come over to my house and you can just wait there until your mom comes and gets you. Its only half way down the block." He insisted. She thought for a moment. She looked up at him. She then nodded her apporvel. She followed him warm in his hoodie, they walked up to the frount door of his small house. They walked in to a living room that had a couch, 2 chairs, a flat screen T.V. and a coffee table. There was a dinning room with a table and 3 chairs. there was a kitchen with a dish washer, a sink, a fridge, and some cabnets. There were 2 rooms, one was his room that he slept in, it had a small bed, a Small T.V. a dresser and a mirror that he never used. The other room was his work room, it a had a desk with a computer on it, a cabnet full of files and books. A file drower full of his text books and homework.
Amy sat down on the couch and Jim walked into the kitchen.
"Want anything to drink?"
"Yeah what do you have?"
"Water, Coke, Beer, apple juice, and some crush."
"I'll take some water please."
"Coming right up."
He walked out and sat next her handing her her cup of water. He looked at the clock. It was 4:30pm
"What time does your mom come get you."
"5:30"
"Ok. So why were those guys chasing you?"
"Well.... I was walking to detion and they were messing with me. I ignored them but when I got out they were still there and messed with me some more. I final got mad and yelled at them..... Then I ran into you..."
"Oh, well I'm Jim. I belive your Amy."
"Yeah, nice to meet you Jim." She shook his hand.
She already knew him, she had a huge crush on himsince 1st grade. She never told anyone though. She would dream of him holding her in his arms and kissing her. She never thought that would ever happen.
They started to talk alittle and 5:25 came around.
"Oh well its time for you to go. Your moms gonna be here soon. Keep the hoodie. I have lots of them." Jm said walking to the door her following.
"I hope we can do this again. See you in school."
"Ok... Thanks for the help... Bye." She left the house and got picked up. Jim was beat and felt like going to bed early. Tomarrow was sunday and he felt like sleeping in.
