It's cold outside,
and the clock has struck twelve.
The snow is falling,
but to me it feels like hail.
10 PM, we're speechless.
The silence fills the room.
Choking you and I,
because we both know the truth.
There is no smiling and no crying,
just staring at the door.
Knowing one must leave,
because it's not working anymore.
11 PM, bags are packed.
On the floor ready to go.
Out in the cold,
alone in the snow.
We tried it all,
from A to Z.
Somehow all our problems
boomerang back to me.
11:59 PM.
The silence finally broken.
My mouth can only whisper,
so this is what's spoken...
"I'm cold outside baby,
I know the clock says it's twelve.
But it's never to late too make things right,
because without you, my life is hell."
