amusedwriter rambles
Things I write for no apparent reason other than to pass the time. Most stories have no endings, but contain an awful lot of meaningless dialogs. Other entries are basically boring life occurrences that have nothing to do with my stories whatsoever.
Starting at SUNY Potsdam...
So I haven't been writing much... I posted an extremely short story previous to this post, which I do not know whether I will write more for it or not.

I'm taking French 3 which is killing me within my first two weeks. I really need someone to help talk to me in French over skype if I have any takers wink .

I have Revolutionary America and Premodern Japan. Both are amazing courses with fantastic professors. I always love my history courses though so that's a no brainer.

I also have a boring health class which is way too simple for my liking. The teacher gives basic information and extremely easy homework, so it really is not a challenge.

I also am still working in the theatre... I ran into the tech director which has all the latest theatre toys and he is so funny just like my old techie steve!! He wants me to learn how to run the lighting, which fingers crossed I hope I can figure out. Light design is like properties. It's very complex. Only, I seemed to have a natural knack at properties, because I wanted things to be perfect to the eras represented in the shows. Mice and Men being my most accurate and fun to fit xd .

I joined many clubs like Student Entertainment something, Gay Straight Alliance, Theater Guild, Anthropology and Archaeology Club and the Gaming Club. They all sounded fun. Oh and the Outdoors club, which plan fun hiking stuff. There's also a bear watching club which I might check out.

Anyways this is amazing in this town and our apartment is teenytiny, but cheap and easy to care for. My cats enjoy it and I hope we enjoy living here awhile for school. I miss everybody back home, but I love this old beautiful small town and it's surrounded by lovely forests and fields and we're only two hours from Montreal which will be so much fun in the summer!

Also it is the 10th anniversary of the 11th of September, which is of course blown out of proportion and seems as a huge war cry for freedom a spectacle even. That may offend many people of gaia and elsewhere, but that's how I see it. I see it as another Boston Massacre or Bloody Sunday, which are overlooked frequently and not even considered in modern society.

One day people will look back and forget the deaths of these great and small people and see it as just another date written on a blackboard. I don't forget these people had lives and families and lived ordinary lives, so I find it to be a slap in the face when they are idolized and made into a war cry.

Someday this war will either be considered a mistake or just a great war on terrorism, but now I just hope it ends soon, so that our lives can move in a different direction. I wish that wars would become a thing of the past, instead of a means to decreasing poor populations and gaining resources. No matter how much they plaster it with a need for freedom when we already have it. I give my hours of silence and respect for the people not for the politics.
