Those of you who know my deep and abiding fondness for character acting as an art and character actors in general, would assume I love Twin Peaks. The truth is, it was on the air during a period when I had little or no access to TV. I missed it. I finally gave in and tried watching it, but it just didn't work for me. I'm not a David Lynch fan. I've tried repeatedly to watch his films. I simply prefer naturalistic to stylized acting. I find his pacing too slow, and his characters too unrealistic to connect with. I've had numerous people try to tell me why he is brilliant, and I've tried over and over, but it just doesn't work for me. I couldn't make it through the first disc set of Twin Peaks. I suspect this means I'm a bad geek and y'all are revoking my geek credentials right now.
