Amelia grumbled as she slowly opened her eyes to see a bright light above her. Was she dead? Was that the end of her life? What a rip off, she didn't even get to see it flash before her eyes. A woman's soft voice spoke, "Babe...I think she's awake." Opening her eyes widely, she realized she was in a kitchen, in Benjamin's house. Rolling her eyes, she remembered what had happened. She was packing Ben's stuff, and she was hit in the face...with a frying pan. Great weapon of choice...would you like eggs with that?. The man who had identified her from the news spoke sternly at her, "Who are you? Why are you here? Why were you taking our son's stuff?" She placed her hand on her head, feeling a bruise from the hit. It gave her a little shade from the light and she was able to identify the people who had her. Benjamin's parents. They weren't home when I got here...right? The garage was closed...maybe the car was in the garage?

"ANSWER ME!" The man kicked her leg, giving her another bruise. Her body was still numb from being hit in the head, so it didn't hurt. His hand wrapped around her neck, holding her head straight, making her look him in the eyes. He had Benjamin's eyes. He raised his hand to hit her clear on the face and Amelia flinched as his hand came down to her. But before it touched her, he was stopped.

"Honey! Stop! She's just a girl, may-"

The rude man cut her off and let go of Amelia, and instead pointed his gross finger at her, "Shut up. She isn't 'just a girl'. She's the invisible girl."

"Oh yeeaaahhhh...but ya know? She looks pretty visible to me."

[******** you, you don't know what you're talking about!"

"DON'T TELL ME WHAT TO DO!"

Definitely Benjamin's parents.

"Look! We'll just call the cops and tell them we found the invisible girl. Then we'll get reward money, and they can hold her for breaking into our home. Then they can sell her to the government or whatever. We can finally take that trip to Los Vegas!"

Benny wasn't kidding. These people would sell him to the government in a heartbeat. And for a trip to Los Vegas? Pathetic.

"The news said that she could make things drop from the ceiling. Why isn't she doing that now? Or turning invisible and running away?"

Dropping things from the ceiling? Ariella? Oh god I hate the Media. But...that running away part wasn't a bad idea... Finally ignoring Benjamin's parents, she looked back out the door of the kitchen to see how far it was. The stupid people didn't exactly tie her up or anything, they probably fought about that too. Slowly, she found her balance and got up, hoping not to catch their glance.

"Fine! You need proof? We'll make her turn invisible first, then we'll call the cops."

Too late, the man turned just in time to see Amelia run out of the kitchen. "CALL THE COPS! I've got her.." He picked up his gun off the counter and loaded it. Was that for protection against a little girl that may possibly be able to turn invisible? The gun shot off, barely missing Amelia and hitting the wall. She let out a scream and ran to the front door. Stopping, she remembered that she had come there for Benjamin's things. She wouldn't want him or any of her friends coming back there again. She turned and ran up the stairs. The gun fired again, hitting the wall several times and missing Amelia. She let out a short yelp as she tripped on the steps, but continued to run up the stairs. Turning down the hall, she could hear the man's loud steps running up the stairs after her.

Amelia ran into Benjamin's room and slammed the door, locking it and pushing his dresser in front of the door. The clock was on the dresser, and she took the time to give it a glance. It had been roughly two hours since she told her friends she would be home in less than an hour. The gun shot off again and went through the door, hitting the wall on the other side. Amelia's heart was pounding. Taking a moment, she realized she still wasn't invisible. [color-blue]"WHAT DOES IT TAKE! God please help me..."[/color) she yelled to herself as another gun shot at the door, unlocking it. She screamed and grabbed Benjamin's bag and jumping out the window onto the roof. Turning back to the window, she saw his dad trying to push the furniture away from the door. She ran back to the ladder to see Benjamin's mom at the bottom, talking on the phone.

"Yes? Hello? The invisible blue hair girl is at our house! She's broken in and is after my husband!"

Amelia's eyes widened. LIAR!. Lucky for her Benjamin's parents never cared much for his friends, so they never bothered after the first time they met Amelia. It was kind of funny that they didn't remember who she was. The first time they met, his dad had yelled at Benny for bringing her home. But his mother cooed over her, talking about showing her baby pictures and how many grandkids she wanted. Amelia was a friend. More? She turned back around to go to the other side of the house, but instead, Benjamin's dad stood there with his rifle aimed at her. She lifted her hands up and stood there. He wont shoot you...That's murder. It's going to be okay. She tried to make herself feel a bit better about the situation. Closing her eyes tightly, she wished that for once, she would just turn invisible when she wanted. Her fingers crossed tightly.

"Now come slowly little lady..." Even though that's what he said, he moved closer to her. So...because he has a gun he is now a redneck? She took a step back until she felt the edge of the house with her foot. It was over. She was a government experiment. Police sirens could be heard from the next neighborhood over. Neighbors must have called in the gun shots. She bit her lip as the man moved terribly close. Amelia gasped as the man slipped and accidently pulled the trigger, aiming the gun at Amelia.

Amelia slipped and fell back, her life flashed before her eyes. So much was happening in one day. Everything happened so quickly, her life didn't even get to the third grade before the flash was over. The man had missed her, but she fell off the roof. Benjamin's mom screamed for her husband. Amelia felt light-headed, scared, but luckily, she was invisible and safe. Trying to push herself back up to her feet, she let out a soft gasp. Her wrist hurt, badly. Not exactly a great sign. She held tightly to Benjamin's bag as she heard the man yell back, "She fell off the roof! Do you see her?!" Benjamin's mom inspected the area, looking for Amelia, who was down the street running. Tears were falling from her eyes as she just kept running, threatening herself, Don't you dare slow down. Don't you dare stop!
