Origin: Celeste by birth. Her family, however, is largely French, Irish, and Japanese in descent, with bits of other Western European bloodlines and some good ol' American mutt. Her father and mother were both born in Celeste.

Bodytype: On the skinny side, small-boned. Her skin tends to tan easily, and has the slight 'golden' undertone often associated with most East Asian complexions. Just starting to develop 'curves'.
Hair: Dark blonde, with the bottom half bright green from a...failed dye job she did at a friend's house without permission. Midback-length, her favorite style is similar to 212 on this.
Eyes: Slightly 'tilted' in the East Asian manner, wider than a full-Japanese girl, however. Pale blue.
Fashion: Colors range all over, with black and green surfacing often (black goes with everything and green is her favorite color). Tends towards girl-cut band tees, hoodies, turtlenecks, skinny jeans, leggings, Converse and Vans-style shoes, and short (but not too short) skirts. Accessories often include rubber cause bracelets, bold/noticeable earrings and necklaces, studded belts, headbands, star and skull barrettes.
Personality Traits: [+]Studious - Kimi is the girl who tends to get straight A's and B's. She does her schoolwork on time, pays attention in class, and doublechecks her homework before putting it away for the night. She'll make sure to study for tests every night for a week beforehand, refusing to let herself get caught off guard. Were it not for the fact she's a people person, she'd be that nerdy kid in the back reading the textbook for fun. Wait...she HAS done that before. Her friends thought she was weird for it. She loved it.
[+]People-person - Kimi loves people. And she gets along with people easily. To her, mingling is as natural as breathing, and social situations and her are like PB&J. She loves being in the thick, in the center of things. She takes each new encounter with a person as a learning experience and the possibility of a new friend. She's fairly good at knowing when to talk, and when to be quiet; when to be polite, and when to just 'let it all hang out'. She tends to do MUCH better with her age range than with those older or younger, however.
[+]Loyal to Family - Friends are great, but family comes first. Kimi considers her best friends (a title reserved for few, despite her popularity) part of her family, luckily. Otherwise...conflicts could arise. Because when it comes down to it, Kimi will always choose her family over friends. They were there for her in sickness and in health, through the good and the bad. And you don't just turn your back on those people. Ever. She's even bitten the bullet and taken the blame for things for her younger sister before, just so the other could do something she'd really been looking forward to instead of getting grounded.
[+]Accepting - To Kimi, a person should be judged on WHO they are, not WHAT they are. To her, she could care less about someone's gender identity, ethnicity, 'disabilities', or sexuality...if they're a good person, they're a good person. Much to the shock of the rest of the 'popular' crowd, Kimi's friends often include the 'outcasts' and unwanted, the people that others overlook, simply because of the stereotypes or various -isms. To Kimi, people are people.
[-]Vain - Kimi knows she's pretty and smart. She knows it, and is a bit of a peacock about it. The easiest way to get in her good graces, really, is to stroke her ego and compliment her looks and/or just how smart she is. Not that she doesn't think anyone ELSE is pretty or smart...she's just prettier and smarter than them. Even her own older sister at times.
[-]Meloramatic - 'OH WOE IS ME! I CANNOT GO TO THIS MONTH'S DANCE!' Kimi often lets her emotions get the better of her, and, in the spirit of most teen and pre-teen stereotypes regarding emotions, can be VERY dramatic about things. She can't go to the dance? She can never show her face again! Her cellphone is damaged on Saturday night and she can't get a new one until after school on Monday? The world is over! This can come in handy when she's acting, but the rest of the time...it can get a lot annoying and frustrating for those outside her close circle of friends.
[-]Easily Bored - Once Kimi is done with something, or far too used to it (aside from family), or something just isn't interesting to her...she becomes bored. Very bored. Now...this might not normally be a problem. Except that combined with the fact she's rather melodramatic, she becomes rather...obvious about her boredom. Heavy sighs, fidgeting, eyes flickering to something more interesting...even when she's being polite, there's no mistaking she's bored. It's why her father rarely takes her to fundraising dinners or the like...she finds herself extremely bored by the adults there, and the fact there's not really anyone her age around.
[-]Headstrong - Kimi HATES being wrong. And she HATES being told what to do. If she's got an idea in her head, she'll stick to it until such a point as she HAS to admit she was wrong. She'll get frustrated and annoyed with people who try to get her to see reason, sometimes lashing out at them verbally. And when she finally does relent...it's grudingly. VERY grudingly.
Hobbies: Theatre - Kimi is a 'drama geek'. She loves to act, loves to play different roles and become someone else for a short period of time. And just as she loves to act, she loves to watch plays and musicals herself. Sadly, with musicals, it's ONLY watching...unlike her older sister, she can't carry a tune to save her life. Her love of theatre started when she was about four, and her mother let her watch a Romeo and Juliet rendition on TV. She was hooked ever since.
Reading - Kimi is just as avid a reader as her older sister. She is especially fond of fantasy, teen romances, and things like 'The Hunger Games' and 'The Golden Compass'. She's also especially fond of shoujo manga like 'Furuba' or 'Ouran High School Host Club'. Both hobbies were introduced to her by her older sister: Kaida loved reading to her baby sisters, and when Kimi showed an interest in Kaida's manga, Kaida was happy to loan the girl some to read.
Hanging Out - The mall, the arcade, the park, each other's houses...Kimi loves being with her friends, with people. Heck, they could be doing nothing more than watching a bad kung fu movie and having popcorn wars and she'd be happy!
Cosplay - A VERY recent hobby that was the natural culmination of her love of theatre and her love of manga. A classmate introduced her to it about five months ago, and Kimi has found herself hooked. She currently has three cosplays: Malika from a manga called 'False Wings', Redding from a book called 'Last Setting', and a random Ravenclaw student. Her costumes are, so far, put together by her step-mother, with pieces bought online as well, but she's seriously beginning to consider learning to sew herself...

Family: Kimi's family is HUGE. First, there's her immediate family consisting of her parents, Kenji Courcel and his deceased first wife Catherine Courcel (maiden name Tokuwa, died when Kimi was 5), and her older sister, Kaida Courcel (16), and younger sister, Christine Courcel {8}, and younger half-brother Raphael Courcel {newborn}. Then there's her stepmother Esme Courcel (maiden name Kibou) and her step-sister Alais Kibou-Courcel (16). They all live in a rather large house of a distinctly Victorian feel and a large back yard that has two willow trees planted in the back. Kimi's father is the CEO of a computer security company, a position HIS father held before him, and so on.
Then there's the parts of her extended family that play a large role in her life. Her father's parents, Eloi Courcel and Hiromi Courcel (maiden name Suzuhoshi), live in a condo in the city, happily retired and quite happy to spoil their grandchildren and visit whenever they can. Her mother's parents, Takuya Tokuwa and Eve Tokuwa (maiden name Moore), live in Kyoto, so Kimi rarely sees them. But they visit for Christmas and New Years EVERY year along with her stepmother's brother Cyrille Kibou, and call once a week to keep in touch, not to mention the emails and Facebook messages. Esme' parents Kimihiro and Ninon Kibou (maiden name Abson) see the Courcels at LEAST once a month, for a Sunday dinner. Kimi often sees her cousins Allison Hart(21) and Aceline Wyman (17), and her second cousin Melisande le'Croix (16). She has even more family than that...but she sees them rarely, mostly only keeping up with them on Facebook or the yearly Christmas Card rounds.

All the below is for Knight stage. Paladin and Champion...is CC. Just...keep to the overall aesthetic. This is the sort of aesthetic I'm thinking, clothing-wise, with some changes to be more child-friendly.
Top: She has a pale pink undershirt that resembles a cheongsam that only reaches her hips, the piping and frogs white. Over that is a white kimono-like 'dress' that is worn loose enough for easy movement, the sleeves falling off her shoulders to leave them bare. The kimono-like 'dress' has a pattern of pale pink, scattered flower petals on the sleeves. The collar and inside of the sleeves are pale pink. (Once she finds a senshi, I'd like for their symbol/the symbol of their system to be placed like mon on the back of her 'kimono' and the base of the sleeves.)
Bottom: A pair of pale pink, loose-fitting pants. The kimono extends to just below her ankles, with a pattern of pale pink scattered flower petals on the bottom half of the 'skirt'.
Shoes: Pale pink Chinese-style slippers with white piping.
Back: n/a
Waist: A pale yellow obi with a pattern of pale pink and white flower petals scattered across it. The bow is large, the tails reaching her knees.

Hands: Pale pink fingerless gloves.
Head: Hair would be loose.
Accessories: A pair of earrings similar to this, with the top gem being clear danburite and the bottom gem being pink danburite.
Weapon: A bladed fan. The ribs of the fan appear to be steel, and the outer ends (the parts protruding from the silk) are very sharp, allowing the fan to be used as a thrusting weapon when closed and a slashing weapon when open. The silk on the steel ribs is a pale pink with white, scattered flower petals embroidered on it. As a Paladin, she gains a second fan of the same design. At Champion, both fans become twice as large, the embroidery becoming more orante (pattern up to the artist, simply keep the flower theme).

Ability: (Must be tied to your knight name.) "Highly spiritual and sought after for its metaphysical properties, Danburite is a powerful Heart Chakra stone, relieving emotional pain and increasing acceptance of one’s self and of others."
Lady Danburite's power allows her allies to set aside their self-doubts, allowing them to focus on doing their duties. They have to be able to hear her voice, and she has to actively want to use this power. Though any words work, she tries to stick to words of encouragement, so they're less likely to second-guess themselves after the power wears off. After she stops speaking, the power only remains in effect for another two posts at most.
Questions:
What are your plans for this character?
First off, I plan for her to be entirely unaware that her older sister is powered until after she awakens. I'd love for her to awaken in a battle situation, with her sister Sailor Hyakutake present. I'd love for her to find her senshi through RP...perhaps one that has an East Asian theme to them as well? Or one that could certainly benefit from her power. And it would certainly be interesting seeing the occasional senshi, knight, or guardian wonder if it's right for someone her age to awaken...Aside from powered plots and shenanigans, I would love to see her interact with the younger portion of Celeste, and perhaps find her a childhood crush or three. There's been talk with Truth of Kimi having a childhood crush on her quest character Matthis.
Why did you choose this character's name? Their weapon?
I chose Kimi's weapon first. I've been imagining her as a Knight for a few weeks now, and a bladed fan just made SENSE, especially with her being so into drama. A fan can be used so many ways, to convey so many things. It can be used as a shield or an offensive weapon. It is, like the actress, a versatile item. As for her name...well, I went through various gemstones and semi-precious stones, and that one seemed to click.
