Very simply, that when Leon and Lydia are fighting all the time, after Leon moves out of the house and into a motel room, he still picks Joss up from school every day and stays with him for like an hour because Lydia's work schedule is speratic and it's an

AshleyandStuffgets Joss home Lydia doesn't answer the door for them and when he lets himself in he can't find her. Instantly he gets angry. Puts Joss to bed, then searches the whole house for her. He finds her in his old study wearing one of his old sweaters looking at
AshleyandStuffold pictures. Not strange since he's seen her do this before when she's sad. But when he comes into the room and turns the light on (it was off) to start telling her off he sees an empty wine bottle lying on his desk and an empty glass in her hand.
AshleyandStuffAnd Lydia has NEVER even been TEMPTED by alcohol before. But he finds her totally and completely drunk.
AthenianMoonOff wine? Most wine today is pretty diluted with water, she'd have to go through a couple bottles before she was wasted...

AthenianMoonDrunk is where you're clumsy, giggly, saying things you normally wouldn't, red in the face, you'll have a bad headache the next day but nothing aspirin and coffee can't fix.
AthenianMoonSh*tfaced wasted is where you're so clumsy you can hardly stand, you're throwing up but keep drinking, you'll probably only remember half of what happened while you were drunk and you might have to go the hospital.
AshleyandStuffOkay well kinda in between. She's super clumsy, not giggly though. Definitely saying things she normally wouldn't, but not quite throwing up yet. And definitely not in danger of alcohol poisoning. lol So like just a level above normal drunk I guess. ^_^
AthenianMoonOkay, cool =) Well he'd walk over, take the bottle and see that it's empty, then firmly go "Is this all you've had to drink?" You know, asking if it's just the one bottle or if there are more.
AshleyandStuffShe'd nod, turning a page in the picture album. But she wouldn't look at him and wouldn't say anything.
AthenianMoonHe'd take the bottle and then snatch the glass from her hand, turning to put them up on a bookshelf where she'd have trouble reaching them.
AshleyandStuffShe'd snap up to look at him when he takes the glass from her hand "Hey!" (not even going to attempt to write in the slur. Sorry lol) but she wouldn't get up from the chair "What are you even still doing here anyway? Josiah isn't hurt, is he?"
AthenianMoonHe'd turn back to her and calmly go "No, now sit back down."
AshleyandStuffShe'd obey, looking away from him. She's totally embarrassed he found her like this, but knows she can't hide it from him. "Why haven't you left yet?"
AthenianMoonHe'd walk over to one of his locked cabinets and open it, the entire time saying "When I tried to drop off our son, I couldn't find his mother. Someone had to put him to bed."
AshleyandStuff"I assume you did. I don't hear him tearing through the house like he usually does." She'd watch him curiously, trying to figure out what he's doing but having a hard time focusing on him.
AthenianMoonLeon would pull out some things and ten relock the cabinet while going "Of course I did. His mother was too busy doing something else."
AshleyandStuffShe'd turn away suddenly and put her head on the back of the chair "Get out, Leon. I don't want your crap right now."
AthenianMoonHe'd walk over to her and kneel in front of her, setting the things on the desk so he can reach them but stop her if she tries to. It'd be a small flashlight, a stethoscope, two bottles of water, and some small bottles of liquid drugs along with a syringe
AthenianMoonAnd he'd take her wrist to feel her pulse, ignoring her if she objects. "You've never wanted my crap, but that's never stopped you from taking it."
AshleyandStuff"Shut up" she'd try to tug away but eventually would just let him do whatever. After a while of watching him she'd start talking again "You're such a jerk, you know that? I know it. I knew it before too but...guess I should have known history repeats....

AthenianMoonHe'd check her pulse for about a minute, then take the flashlight, put one hand on her cheek to turn her head towards him, and he'd whisper "Open your eyes wide," and then shine the flashlight into them when she does. After that he'd stand and move around
AthenianMoonbehind her, then gently take both her shoulders, straighten them, then push lightly on her back so that she's sitting up straight. Then he'd lift the back of her shirt and listen to her breathing through the stethoscope. While doing that he'd lick his
AthenianMoonlips and answer quietly "It's not you. It's us. We both changed. We couldn't have stopped it anymore than we can stop Josiah's growth spurts. Speaking of which, he needs new clothes again...." You know, trying to gently change the subject since this

AshleyandStuffShe'd start crying softly. "This morning -sniff- he asked me -sniff- how we were going to have Christmas if you were living somewhere else. Because, poor thing, he was telling me -sniff- he's too small to carry a big tree. My poor baby. I didn't know what

AthenianMoonHe'd take a deep breath, clearly in emotional pain if she could see his face, and then he'd firmly go "Stop crying, I have to listen to your lungs."
AshleyandStuff"I can't," She'd let out another soft sob but then would do her best to stop for him. She'd wait for him to finish listening to her lungs before adding "He misses you. I know he sees you ever day but...he always goes into his room and sulks after you leave

AthenianMoonHe'd look at the back of her head, then blink and lower her shirt, removing the stethoscope from around his neck and going back to kneel in front of her. He'd look up at her and calmly go "Your pulse and breathing are too slow. You don't have alcohol
AthenianMoonpoisoning, but one more drink could send you there, so I'm going to give you some thiamin and glucose, then I want you to drink both these bottles of water before you go to sleep, okay?"
AshleyandStuffShe'd sigh and nod. "You're too good of a doctor, you know? Just turn off the heart and let that big brain of yours do all the feeling for you. A good doctor. Lousy husband, but a good...good dad."
AthenianMoonHe'd take the first bottle, the thiamin, and the syringe, lifting the bottle upside down and then sticking the needle into it to pull in the the amount he wants. "And you're a good mom." he'd say almost matter-of-factly before taking her right arm and
AthenianMoonsanitizing the area with an alcohol swab.
AshleyandStuffShe'd flinch, tugging her arm away a little and staring at the needle. "Don't hurt me."
AthenianMoonHe'd pause, then look up at her, meet her eyes, and softly go "Never." then while she's distracted he'd quickly find the vein in her inner elbow and give her the first injection.
AthenianMoonAfter it was done he'd go "Sorry... I couldn't risk you flinching away and messing it up."
AshleyandStuffShe'd take in a sharp breath when the needle goes in and whimper until he takes it out, but would nod anyway. She'd whisper "You said that once before, you know."
AthenianMoonHe'd press his thumb onto the injection area to stop it from bleeding, then sanitize the syringe before reaching for the glucose bottle. "I don't think I've ever given you a shot before... You'd never let me, you always insisted on another doctor doing it.
AshleyandStuff"I didn't meant that."
AthenianMoonHe'd grab the glucose and then quietly go "Oh..." in the way that you don't say anything, but the other person still gets that you understand what they mean.
AshleyandStuffShe'd look away, biting her lip until he's finished the second shot. Wincing and wimping the same as before. Then she'd wait to see what he's going to do next since he's done with his doctor stuff. lol
AthenianMoonHe'd clean up, going to wash his hands and throwing away the syringe and all that. THen he'd turn back to face her, hands in his pockets, then go "I'd like to stay the night here, in case the shots didn't work..."

AshleyandStuffShe'd nod, then start sniffling again and eventually crying. She'd cover her face n whisper "I'm sorry. For whatever I did to make you not love me anymore. I'm so sorry. To you, to Josiah. He's being torn apart inside, my poor baby, and it's all my fault."
AthenianMoonHe'd look down, then just go "I'll get set up on the couch then." and rush from the room. Every word she says is like a razor to the center of his chest.
AshleyandStuffLydia would cry by herself for a while, but she'd be super lonely. And Leon is just right out there on the couch. So between 30 minutes and an hour later she'd semi stumble very slowly from the room to the couch and let herself fall to the floor next to it
AthenianMoonHe'd have been half-asleep, so when she falls down he'd snap up and loudly go "Lydia? Lydia, answer me!"
AshleyandStuffShe'd be mostly on her knees with her head kinda on the couch I think. Not like totally on the floor you know? xp But she'd shush him. "You'll...wake him up. Hush."
AthenianMoonHe'd grab both her arms and jerk her up to look at him "Lydia, damn it, what's wrong?"
AshleyandStuffShe'd think about it for a minute. "...nothing..."
AthenianMoon".... And you're on your knees in the living room... why?"
AshleyandStuff"Because...because it's my house." She'd be all indignant for like a second, then give up. She'd touch his arm. "I..I missed you."
AthenianMoonHe'd swallow roughly, then go "Did you drink the water I gave you?" (Am I the only one sensing passionate make-up sex here? &_& )
AshleyandStuff"Some" she'd pull herself onto the couch. "You...you don't miss me too?" (Hahaha! Totally not! That was the original idea I didn't say because I wasn't sure it'd work out. &333 Glad you see it too!!!!!!)
AthenianMoon(YES!!!) He'd quickly stand and hold her arms tightly "Lydia, you HAVE to drink that water. Alcohol dehydrates you. C'mon, back to my office." and he'd start leading her there to shove the water down her throat if he has to.
AshleyandStuffShe'd pull against him desperately. "Why won't you answer me? Leon!"
AthenianMoon"I am not going to watch you drink yourself to death because of me, now just come with me and drink the water!"
AshleyandStuffShe'd kinda decide that must be his way of telling her no and would let him take her back to the office. She'd drink the water, as much of it at one time as she can, then push it away and put her head in her hands. "I don't like being drunk. My....

AthenianMoonHe'd go "I should video tape this for when Josiah's a teenager...." half-joking and half-hoping to make her smile.
AshleyandStuffShe'd groan in response, but then after a moment she'd stand up slowly, holding her arms out to keep herself steady. "I'm sorry I woke you up. You must be tired.... I'll go to bed now. So you can sleep too."
AthenianMoonShe'd almost fall over (god-modding, sorry lol) and he'd quickly catch her against his chest. "Steady, now... Don't need a concussion on top of this..."
AshleyandStuff(That's alright. She probably would. haha) She'd close her eyes, trying very hard to not cry again. "Sorry..." and she'd try to stand up straighter "You can...um...you can let me go. I won't fall again. So you can...let me go now..."
He'd hold her tighter "It's fine."
She'd shake her head "No, It's not fine. Nothing is fine." and she'd push against him "I don't want to hurt anymore."
He'd loosen his grip "I can give you some asprin...for your headache"
"No, I don't need it -pulls from his grip- I'm going to go to bed now."
"okay....-turns away, stops, rushes back at her and kisses her so fiercely she bends back over the table, pulls away quickly- goodnight."
