lol I was thinking that after having the baby, Elan decides she can't stay in the forest forever. It would be like going back to when she was still that little girl, hiding behind other peopleto avoid facing what she didn't want to. So she decides to go stay with William and Nora, whom she befriended from when they were all searching for the stones. Wolf goes with her, and of course William and Nora take her in immediately, and this could be when William starts asking her for the tonic that will act as a very slow poison to his body, allowing him to age with Nora and then die with her. It'll be an even bigger thing for Elan, since she's just created life herself and now someone she loves dearly is asking her to help him commit suicide pretty much, AND it's the perfect opportunity since she's staying in his house. It would also be a really good atmosphere for Gavin to show up at their door a few weeks later begging them for information about Elan, and then William just pushes the door open a little more so that Gavin can see further into the house and he sees Elan sitting at the hearth with the baby in her arms. Imagine that... Gavin walking back into her life after breaking her heart by cheating on her with another woman, lying to her face about it, doing all of that while she was PREGNANT with HIS child, and all of this comes out right in front of two people who care very deeply for Elan and one who already loves her enough to kill for her.

Wolf pretends like he wants to stay behind, so he takes her to their home, then pretends to leave, but he can't leave. Nor does he want to. So he just kinda hangs around the house in secret, watching her from the background and protecting the house like a guard dog (because the spell won't be completely broken until she returns his love. He'll still turn into a wolf all the time. lol And then on the day that Gavin comes, he stops hiding and comes out in the open because he has no idea who this man is, all he knows is that he's hurting Elan so he's a threat that needs to be exterminated. Rawr!
