A shadow follows where ever you go
You never really know
when it's there or not
does it want to hurt you?
There is no fear sometimes it could be a friend
A friend that could be to the very end
Although with shadows at some points it will fade
Forever forgotten and never to be seen as a friend again
Though now again they are acknowledged
I for one am not so lucky
Sure i have mere friendships every now and then
But just as shadows are they never are long
And i'm forever faded from there memories
Never to be spoken of again
Left broken and in pain forevermore
You think shadows couldn't love yet they try, but fail
They are just shadows after all just meant to follow
Instead of leading there own lives
Forgotten from this world i forever wander
You think shadows are happy fulfilling there lives as you grow
That my friend is just the opposite shadows long for lives as humans
Just as humans long to live
When we cry no one comes to comfort
When we scream no one is around to hear it
When we love no is there to acknowledge it
So i guess what people say are true
Shadows are nothing but emotionless creatures
That live to follow the ones they were born with
But heed my words
Next time you look at your own shadow
You will wonder why is it that it is crying
When your eyes remain dry
