Taby kidnapped and raped
I don't know about ideal, but I had a scene in my head the other day. That when Taby doesn't come home Greg assumes she's with Kirk. When Kirk is back he assumes she stayed out with other friends. When she doesn't come home the entire next day he starts getting a little worried and kinda guilty like she's mad at him or something so he starts calling her friends trying to see if she's with any of them. When he's exhausted all possible options he starts calling hospitals, convinced she's ODed or something crazy like that (despite the fact that she's been clean for several months now). When there's no word from any of the hospitals he calls the police. Since she's been gone for the required two days already they start searching right away. They come by and question everyone at the house, everyone she'd been out with the night she disappeared, every one who might have been at the club. It takes them three more days but they finally get a lead. Another day or so to track down the lead. By the time they find her she's been with the creep a week, hauled up in this little 3rd floor abandoned apartment room. She's beaten and bloody and malnourished and falling in and out of consciousness. They rush her to the hospital and call Greg at the same time, telling him to go to the hospital with her. He stays there with her until she wakes up and he has to leave so she can give her statement. She tells the cops everything that happened to her. All about the rape and everything. But she begs them not to tell Greg. In her current fragile emotional state she doesn't want him to know she was raped because she's afraid he'll think she's dirty or defiled and no longer want her. The lady cop she talks to agrees to keep the secret from her boyfriend on the condition that Taby tells him herself. She agrees (with no intention of doing so). Turns out there will be no need for her to go to court about it all because in trying to flee the scene the man was hit by a car and died on impact. So after a few days in the hospital Taby is able to go home. trying to put everything behind her and pretend it never happened she jumps right back into life and all her friends, for her sake, just kind of avoid the subject of her kidnapping. Slowly though the affects start showing through. Especially when it comes to Greg. All that said, the scene I had in my head was that Taby is bundled up in Greg's clothes. Basketball shorts and a big sweater even though it's fairly warm outside. she hasn't worn anything tight or revealing since being home and he's starting to miss her showing a little skin. So he walks into the room and sees her bundled up like that all huddled on her side of the bed with her back to him, watching a movie on a laptop she's borrowed from someone in the house. He kinda quietly walks over to the bed, not trying to sneak up on her but that's what ends up happening. He tries to slip his hands under the shirt to her belly and she, not even knowing he was there, jumps right out of her skin, screams, knocks the laptop onto the floor. He jumps back like "What the heck was that?" and she sees it's just Greg so she kinda calms down a little and shrugs it off that he surprised her. So he's like "Okay whatever" and tries again, slipping his arms around her and lowering himself on top of her and kissing her and she's okay with it for a while but then their intamecy starts taking it's usual rough turn and she gets kinda freaked and pushes him off and is like begging him to stop. And she's fought him before but never like this...so he gets seriously worried and stops and stands up from the bed and asks her very seriously what's wrong and she just hides under the blankets and says it's nothing. He lets it go begrudingly, mainly because she refuses to say anything. But then he tries to kiss her the next morning when she wakes up and she shies away and so he's like "That's it. you're telling me what's wrong with you and it's going to happen now." and he kinda guesses that it has to do with the kidnapping, but when she tells him all the horrors of being raped over and over again in like a million different ways the whole week the man had her it's just like...he had never expected that in a million years. And he just kinda....doesn't know what to do.... He just sits there and she feels like her fears came true so she gets up to leave and he wants to stop her but he doesn't want to scare her again so she takes that as confirmation of the worst and goes to the only person in the universe she thinks might understand. she goes to Mina and doesn't even say anything. Just wraps her arms around the woman's stomach and burys her face in her lap and just sobs. And that's about where the scene ended.
