It all started in WWII, we needed the end-all, the atomic bomb, and we got it. What they don't tell you is that there was another plan, something far more dark than any single bomb, no matter how devastating it is. That is us; Project Golden Wing. We are the creations of scientists cooped up to long in the dark and not enough hugs from mommy when they were kids. I know this because we ALSO didn't get hugs from mommy either did we? No, instead we were injected with everything and trained as soldiers. Kidnapped as babies so we never knew our real parents, though some of us were lucky enough to just be donated and they can still see their families. It's funny really, I always read about human's obsession with power, and we're the by products with that.
Plain and simple; this is the year 2197, and Armageddon broke lose about 2138. We are super-human subjects created by the scientists. They have no other name that we know of, and they are our jailers and keepers. They have literally made every combination of power ever in the human body, and have amassed an army to battle... well everything. We protect the normal humans, it's what we're built for, and we do not have a choice. Implanted into the base of our necks is a small chip, it cannot be removed, and it cannot be tampered with. It tracks us, wherever we go at any given moment, it relays our heart-rate, and most importantly our thoughts. It's ok believe it or not to think treasonous thoughts, so long as you don't act on them. But let's say you do because you can't take anymore manipulation; you're dead before you ever do anything. It obliterates your head, end of story. It's impervious to even the most intense atomic blasts, so if you posses that particular ability you're out of luck. It's specifically made to be immune to whatever power you have, so good luck getting it off.
What do we fight exactly? Well like I said, pretty much everything. As my new recruits I'm tasked with informing you about every monster, but forgive me if I don't get to every single kind, there are just too many to explain, and we don't even know all of them ourselves. We've split the up into general factions. The first and most common are zombies, they are easy and slow, and we are not affected to their disease. Doesn't mean the bite won't hurt, so you should avoid that if you can. Sometimes they explode, but it's just a gory mess more than anything else. Second are demons, which are far more powerful and manipulative. If you see one, please don't try to reason with it! It's a monster and it only wants your soul. And the third group is the most disturbing, our opponents Red Tide. They specialize in making cyborgs and magic users, we have a LOT of, uh... "converts" in Golden Wing. Know thy enemy right? Anyways, what makes them so dangerous is that they will try to capture you, and should they succeed the chip will kill you before you tell them anything. They are just as deadly as we are, so be on your guard.
My power? I suppose that's a fair question. I control plasma. Not blood plasma, but the next stage after gas and is only found on the Sun plasma. You're all getting tans just by being near me. I have limited telekinetic powers as well as telepathic. Since my element is hotter than most of your bodies can take, I only use it in combat. In addition I can fly, though I don't suggest looking directly at me when you do, since I glow pretty bright. Anyhoo, I'll answer any questions people have, so ask away my pretties!
