"where has she gone?"

The innocence that I bore.
Where did that smiling little child go?
Is she wondering the same about me?
Is she calling out for me,
and I'm deaf to her cries?
Where am I today?
Who am I today?
Am I the person you think I am,
when you hold me
and kiss me
and tell me it's alright?
Who is it
that tells you
"I trust you"?
Which side of me loves you?
