So liek. D: Ya. Totally.
Leamony has a lot of hair, and she loves every bit of it. whee But because I have so much, it is a very big part of my life. Unfortunately, my hair is very hard to tame. Despite the fact that it's what many girls would dream of--vibrant, soft, fine, long, and glossy--I still have that "Irish Curl" But it's not like big old curls, or a lot of little curls. It looks like I'm being attacked by humidity, all big and puffy. I would actually be fine with this, I think it looks nice when it does that, and I beleive I could make it work. :D BUT. Only part of my hair curls like that, and it's the bits underneath. The stuff on top that everyone sees is mostly straight, possibly wavey. So the puffy bits stick out in the back in these wierd clumps, and I get a lot of people pulling on my hair going "There's a tangle back here." When in actuality, it means my hair is happy. whee I really hate people playing with my hair. I'll never know why. Even when I was little, my mother would chase me around the house, screaming, with a hair brush. So when I started school, I would have to beat off all these kids with a stick to keep them from messing with my hair. I never quite understood "Oh, we're sitting in a circle on the ground. I'ma gonna stick my fingers in this girl's hair."
Sigh. D: I put a lot of work into my hair, but it never lasts for long. I wash my bangs every morning to keep them from getting oily, and by the end of second period they already look nasty. I brush my hair every morning, I even do that 100 strokes thing, but it looks like crap again by the time I reach the car. I read the ingredients in my shampoo and I know what to avoid, I keep away from things that could possibly damage my hair, I wash it, I condition it, I de-frizz it... my showers take three times longer than they should because I'm so careful to get my hair done just right. But even then, I end up with hair that simply won't do. It frizzes, it fuzzes, it tangles, it falls apart, it sticks together, it dries out, it gets dirty, and it just bends in all the wrong ways. D: I wash my hair, and then I have to wait for it to dry, since I don't want to fry it with a blowdryer, and I can't do anything with it when it's even a little moist, because it will tangle. I hear all the time that the only time someone can really do thier hair is when it's wet, but for me I can't do a *thing* when it's wet, otherwise it ties itself in the worst knots you could possibly imagine.
So that's my story. I love my hair to death, and I don't think I will ever cut it short. But at the same time I just want to hit it with a shtick. ;__;
