xD Time for some ranting.
Well first ranting, I hate c#. Or more specifically I hate doing graphic stuff and using visual studio, it generates most of the code, drag/drops stuff... It feels more like VB to me then actual programming. -Hates VB-
G.Thunderbird You won't hate it if you can actually get that project done...
I have to see if I can. If not probably screwed cause I really don't know what else to do... Not to mention figuring out how to actually bloody do it. I wanna make a program where you can take a book, either enter the info manually or ideally scan the isbn at the back of the book & all the info title/author/isbn pops up. Program then shoves them into an organized database, AND (or if the user would more perfer,) appends the titles/authors to a huge text file.
The basic idea is instead of having to go through all your books make a list of what you have writing it all by hand, you can just stack them all, scan the barcode in the back, & program lists/organizes them for you -Looks at own huge pile of books-
You're hopping you can do this A) for the project, B) cause you're too lazy to make said list by said handwritting. Right?
Well you can't say anything if I actually manage to do it ne?
Rant #2: fairly recent
I dunno what it is that does this but it's really annoying, when you first make a journal entry the banner is above with all the editing things, like normal. : )
But when you go to preview to see how it looks, preview is there and said editing banner is gone. : ( Granted, I know easily how to do all the color/strike/emote/size/editing details myself by hand without needing the buttons, but it's a mega pain in the a** still.
True, but you could just have it here & copy/paste/preview using a fourm almost-post like you're doing now. xD can help for getting the timid achievement too
xD Actually, I have it already. Lotus does too from that but she is nowhere NEAR timid. Other thing I would love if they fixed is the storage box in the ancient inventory arranger. I like the system exactly the way it is now, except I would love if in the storage box you could organize the stuff like viewing tabs.
weapons tab
Dresses tab
pins tab
creatures/companions
bags tab
random items tab
outfit kinda thing
something like that. Like it would be a bit easier for tekteking or some other diabolical planning > : 3 -Hides from evil rider-
Well they DO have the outfit thing, it's in the main invo for when you dressing up, and anyway why don't you just make a database of all that stuff? Hell, you even have open office now so you probably can! OO has some kinda Access equivalent right?
Probably. Maybe I'll do that, around when I get back to the "Webpage of Lists"
Can't believe you're bloody serious about that...
xD /shot
So I'm a decent smartass. For one of the tutorials for c# it was calculating a running total, so I named the total variable "forestGump" xD Also I was a smartass all over for the listbox tutorials, it was the countries of South America in a list box, so I called the listbox NATO. Also I put El Salvador in the list in honor of Logan xD
Pfffft Dumbass. Nato is all the north american/european countries. And also El Salvador is in CENTRAL America dummy.
Oh, it gets even better, the first one was populating it from a file when the user pushes the button, the 2nd one was same thing except having it load from the file from the start of the program running, so naturally I just combined them, but I left everything in it. I made the button hidden & I put two labels over it that said " "Button used Hide!" "Super Effective!" " /double shot
Oh brother... You really are bored.
I'll look into the database idea later... There was something I wanted to do with Tektek and the storagebox but I'll do it in a different one
