Personality: Lucian is regal. He is a Lord in service to his King (Kieran) and he is both a bodyguard of sorts and a political advisor. He’s been around since before Atlantis sank. He comes off as cold and distant at first, but he warms up as you get to know him. He has a wicked smirk and he can sneer with the best of them, but his smiles and genuine laughter are gorgeous. He’s brilliant and he has no qualms about assassinating his enemies, or the enemies of the crown. He’s faster than most, as comes with his greater age, and he embraces modern culture with relief. He loves balls and masquerades, dancing and fencing, reading and teaching. He loves to look down on modern socialites, and even in the human world he can walk in any social circle he wants without anyone kicking him out. Though his looks are unknown to most humans, his name and finances are well known. He funds charities and endorses companies that he likes, just for shiggles really, and the ease with which he navigates the human world is a source of envy from other vampires. His age allows him to go out in daylight, though it still drains his powers and hurts his eyes. He loves to swim and ride horses, and he has a Siberian tiger and a cheetah in his manor in the human world. They love him dearly, as he loves them.

He’s a true gentleman, he will bow to a lady and kiss her knuckles, open doors and pull out chairs, the whole 9 yards. And if ever anyone sneers at or degrades his date or company in any way, he retaliates with intimate and often embarrassing knowledge about the one who insulted his date. He can make anyone feel lower than scum, and though they tend to be infuriated when he publically embarrasses them, they tend to clench their fist and lock their jaws and walk away, because he can very easily take over any company he wants. Even so, he does have that dangerous predator air about him, and some of his less intelligent opponents have gone mysteriously missing over the years…humans are convinced his name is inherited, because no one wants to believe in immortals. Others have tried to prove it, but any photo, drawing, painting, or what have you of him has mysteriously vanished. He has limos aplenty, but he also enjoys driving fast sleek cars, and which he chooses depends on his date and the occasions. He showers his dates and loves with gifts, not in an overbearing ‘this is weird it’s only the ___ date’ kind of way, but if he gets to know you and likes you, real diamonds and other precious gems and metals don’t put a dent in his vast fortune.

He has human descendants, though they don’t know it, and he watches over them well. Every child, grandchild, and living blood relative, all of them, receive expensive gifts that he has hand-selected for them based on his knowledge of them every year on every birthday, anniversary, and gift-giving holiday, from ‘an anonymous benefactor’. He has bought homes, clothes, toys, perfumes, vehicles, etc, and has even helped some of them get high-paying jobs with good companies.

He had a strong-willed niece once, whose parents had died in a crash when she was a child. She had lived with an Aunt until she became pregnant at 22. She refused to accept the house from the bank, when she lived in a trailer, because she said she didn’t take charity from anyone, least of all someone she didn’t know, who was probably a perv looking for something in return. She had a right to be skeptical, she was drop dead gorgeous, not in an overly sexual way, but in a beautiful breathtaking innocence kind of way. The next day he showed up at the restaurant where she waited tables and spoke with her boss, then puller her aside. He took her for a ride in the limo out to the house he’d bought her, and explained that he’d known her parents and was very disappointed in her Aunt for kicking her out. She didn’t believe him until he told her stories of gifts she’d received every birthday, which her Aunt always claimed were from her.

It took him 2 weeks to get her to accept, but eventually she did, and he took her to every doctor’s appointment until the baby was born. He refused to let her name him godfather, but he gave her a way to contact him anytime she needed anything. The Aunt stopped receiving gifts and lost her cushy job, being forced into one where she actually had to work hard for everything she had. She had to down-grade her home and give up a lot of luxury, but Lucian still watched over her, even though she had fallen from his favor. It was not lost on the woman that her benefactor was displeased with how she had treated her niece, and eventually she and the girl made up and she became a favorite Aunt of the boy her niece gave birth to.
