Races

Humans:
Bio: The most common of species populating the world and one of the few non-magick races, these creatures live their lives in urban civilizations with a strong focus on innovative technologies rather than the use of magick. They specialize in unique and advanced weapon development. Humans can be kind, valiant, and strong hearted, just as much as they can be cruel, dishonorable, and stubborn. Their Empire governs the world of Eternus with humans at the helm since its beginning. Without the aid of magick, everything they do takes a large amount of dedication, which they usually follow through with. Their most recent creation is a new type of ammunition for the crossbow: exploding arrows.

General Appearance: Generally speaking, male humans have broad, solid faces, while females have softer, less masculine features. The males noses and ears are larger, while the women's eyes tend to be bigger than their opposing sex. On average, males grow to be between 5.5 feet to 6.5 feet, while the women roughly a foot shorter. There aren't many characteristics that haven't been shared by both sexes at one point or another, however. Their hair can range from short to long, straight to curly, and dark to light. Vivid colors aren't very common, as most humans hair color ranges from blacks and browns to blondes and whites. The eyes of a human are commonly colored with blues, greens, browns, blacks, and grays. The most distinct thing about a human the fact that they are so plain, so simple. There isn't anything that makes them stand out or different when compared to other races, except for the fact that they lack any what they refer to as abnormalities.

Faeries:
Bio: Faeries are the horned, winged, magick-capable wild-lings that take shelter in the most natural, beautiful lands of the world. They are wild beings who adore nature to the extent of living their lives in it; they have strong feelings againtst urbanization and that it is a detriment to the planet’s health. They are talented with the natural ability of using magick, unlike others who must learn to use magick, elves being a prime example. Faeries synchronize the energies of their body with that of the planet in order to extract and control their magick. There are two restrictions to the usage of it, however. A faerie is born with the powers they possess, and those powers begin to manifest in the early years of adolescence. At first, the magick is sudden and uncontrollable, so it becomes necessary for the child to learn their abilities both in understanding and in functionality. The first restriction is that they have no choice in the powers they have; the magick a faerie possesses is random and predetermined. Secondly, using too much magick without recharging through meditation will drain them of their life energy and greatly exhaust the body. Exhaustion over takes the soul and the perception of color bleeds from their vision until only blackness remains.

General Appearance: Faerie folk are often gentle in the face, retaining a strong sense of their youthfulness throughout their entire lives. They generally have high cheek bones, large eyes, long pointed ears, and a wild mess of stylized hair. Faeries are almost always slender, on account of being so active in the wilds, and flexible. You won’t see a faerie much taller than six feet, and even growing that tall is a rare occasion. Their eyes are almost always large and illuminating with their life-energy. All the colors found in the spectrum of light have been possessed by a faerie’s eyes, but the strength of their glow is dependent on the faerie’s mood. Their hair is often wild, only styled neatly if the faerie so wishes, and ranges from the darkest earthy tones to the brightest pastels. A faerie always has at least a single pair of horns that vary in size, shape, and location. They also possess two very large feathered wings that vary in color, usually matching their hair. When a faerie begins adolescence, the wings start to crown from behind the skin on their backs. After the crowning starts, usually within a couple weeks, they sprout out from the small tufts of feathers and fill out to their full size almost immediately. The process is excruciatingly painful and often gory, but it marks the beginning of the child’s progression to maturity, that and the discovering of his magick abilities. The nails on their hands and feet are usually left to grow and become sharpened, especially by those who enjoy fighting without weapons. But there are those who choose to keep their nails cleaned and trimmed when living more peaceful lifestyles. Normally, a faerie would not grow a tail, but an odd occurrence occasionally happens when such a child is born into family where one of its two parents is not a Faerie. What results is a scaled tail that hooks at the end, and also having scaled hands and feet. This doesn’t always happen, as the many features of a faerie are often extremely varied, but it’s usually seen as unfortunate because other races would often refer to these beast children as demons.

Mareviri:
Bio: The inhabitants of the sea, these humanoid’s live peacefully within their water kingdoms deep below the ocean’s surface. They are an intelligent race that possesses the ability to telecommunicate with each other and other races. When the necessity befalls them to venture onto land, which is very seldom, they are able to shift their dolphin-like tails into a pair of finned legs with flipper feet that allow them to traverse just like any bipedal creature. They breathe under water and also have a pair of small lungs to use when they come to shore, but the lungs aren’t big enough for extended exposure to the surface without a large amount of training. They are magick capable and can use the water as a weapon, but only while in the sea.

General Appearance: They are very humanoid in appearance with their upper torso, head, and arms, except that they are covered in scales of all colors, usually in two-tone color schemes. Their bottom half is a fish-like tail, ranging from a wide variety of shapes stemming from different kinds of fish breeds. Their arms, tail, and back are lined with fins to help control their mobility while swimming. They do not possess any hair, instead they have a varying style of fins, spines, and tentacles sprouting from their head. Their eyes are solid colors that are similar to gems and usually are greatly contrasting to their scale color.

Beasts

Barghests:
A monstrous black wolf with large teeth and sharp claw, it’s most often found skulking in forests or swamps for food. They are extremely quick, but have very little tact. They commonly charge their prey and use intimidation to paralyze them in fear, giving it an opportune chance to attack.
