Background: A freckled girl that estranges herself from the general public due to her quiet nature and her Otaku ways. Natsumi, born an only child an average, run-of-the-mill parents, had never been much of the social type. No, she rarely sought entertainment or friendship from other kids but this was primarily caused by most other children finding her 'just too weird' to play with. She grew up similar to that of a boy. She loved superheroes and grew up on Henshin shows. Natsumi spent most of her days as a shut-in in her room watching anime, reading manga, playing video games, anything that provided an escape from the harsh reality that plagued her. Her parents, while a seemingly loving couple in the public eye, were both guilty of adultery in some of the most serious of offenses. Both hoarded money, both lied, both cheated, but Natsumi had known about all of this and was constantly paid for her silence in her ever-growing collection of anime paraphernalia and video games.
No one ever showed an interest in her. She had no siblings, no real extended family, and she held no emotional attachments to her parents as even they had barely remembered to cloth and feed her — otherwise they were either out on business or working late at the office. Natsumi was invisible to the world of the living, or at least, that's what it felt like whenever she was shunned or insulted by her peers. The only friends she'd been able to make had been other Otaku online or people she'd met through Online games, but she'd never actually met any of them in real life.
Because she was never given the talk and had witnessed her mother, on occasion, actually bring in other women into the bedroom, Natsumi had grown up a little more sexually confused than most. Given both her mother and father enjoyed the company of the female figure [though her mother still bedded other men] she'd begun to understand this attraction as a social norm. However, whenever she'd say television or hear people talking about how undignified, immoral, or disgusting that being attracted to the same sex was, the already tight-lipped Natsumi had fallen even more silent. Eventually she'd stop questioning her sexuality, discovering her attraction to other women once realizing that the people she idolized and fantasized about were women. Again, she'd never said a word. Natsumi was far too ashamed to openly admit or express her homosexuality to anyone, not even her own mother whom she'd known had played mistress to the occasional woman. She kept and still keeps her Lesbianism hidden, causing her to suffer on the inside.
In the end it was inevitable, due to her sheltered upbringing her grades begun to drop. An intelligent girl yet her potential seems to be wasted on video games and Otaku-related subjects. While her parents remain together Natsumi is nearly positive that her parents know about the other's sneaking around. Natsu wasn't sure whether it was her parents' way of showing her that they actually cared about her or if they were just trying to get her out of their hair so they didn't have to keep buying her things, but instead of having to suffer through life in a public school, they shipped Natsumi off and enrolled her in Sucree Academy instead. This was probably done so they could continue their double-lives without having to worry about getting a third party involved.
However, even in Sucree, Natsumi tends to stand out while being completely invisible. She's known for being extremely poor in athletics, yet no one knows her name. She's called an Otaku, she's called weird, which isn't untruthful. Ironically, while she's terrible in doing anything physical [despite being extremely charismatic in other things] Natsu is commonly seen walking around in a tracksuit. Many people think that she's making a fashion statement, most thing she's just an oddball, few think that she's just being a smartass — but in actuality it's because she enjoys lounging around in it because it's comfortable and keeps her body from getting sunburned. Recently, she picked up a job at a local Manga Cafe where she works as both a hostess and does inventory work. She gets paid a pretty penny, gets to read all of the manga and play all of the games for free, and bargained for her own personal room whenever she doesn't want to stay on campus — as it's sometimes straining [physically & mentally] to constantly be surrounded by hoards of other girls.
