THE CURSE

Li wakes up on a matress, which lies on the floor . . . in a clear white room with only one window; a balcony window with the light of the full moon pouring out as it it were a stage light. Carnisen strides gracefully into the room shirtless in a new set of pants; white and pure reflecting his mood of calmness. He sits next to Li, who is now fully awake and alert. He brushes the fine albino colered hair away from her cheek slightly, she shifts uneasily under his touch.
"The full moon dose strage things to people," Carnisen says as relaxes his tenese muscles from the vigorous trek home.
"Yes . . . I do agree . . . I can fall in love with anyone at this specific time of the month and night," she replyed reluctanly averting her eyes from his gaze. "Yet . . . i should have also transformed . . . but tonight my body had other plans, plans to become over exhasted and . . . faint. . ."
She arose from the ground becomeing light-headed, Carnisen had anticipated her actions and had arisen to steady her.
She began to cry in his arms .
"I'm sorry . . . I-" she sobbed silenty.
A sympathetic expression crossed his face as he replyed.
"No need to cry," he wiped one of her tears away.
For a few moments they just stood there . . . standing, untill they drew appart and he left her to rest.
"Wait . . ." she caught up with him at the threshold. "Um . . . what would the time be . . . how foolish of me to have lost my watch,"
He looks at his own blue and black watch with sterling silver and the time reads: 11:00 P.M
"You are welcome to stay here is you like,"
"Why thank you, but you seem to have just moved in. . . "
"Oh . . . I am staying here for only a month and then . . . reaturning to my homeland of Mogendore,"
"Mogendore?"
"Oh, It is locate din another realm unlike the earth dimetion Mogendore has vast amonds of redwoods, wiffwood, heartwood . . ." He stoped himself to elplain futher. "Oh, I'm sorry I am a bit home-sick as hummans say . . . for the large and massive pines and woods of my native land."
"May I go with you,"
He paused while leaning against the door way to think and gather his thoughts.
Do not fret I shall remain safe in your caer I do trust you- she comented telepathically.
No it's not that . . . It's just, my commrads back home . . .
Your comrads . . . they- she urged him futher.
They havent seen the likes of a female around for 50,000 years . . . and-
Oh don't worry-
No it's not the violation that I fear it's . . . that most of the females are- she finished the sentence for him.
Are forbiden. . .
Yes. . . it was for their safety in wartime and yet they have chosen not to return . . .
But I am eager . . . to join you. . .
Yes . . . you may come along and meet my family and friends.
I think I shall go to sleep . . . I will see you in the morning.
Goodnight M'lady.
And then he left the room with Li alone in there, watching, listening and then finnaly rythmically breathing . . . sleeping.
