ranted something on the wrong thread in SF because my mind is connecting the dots. Gets annoying
But I am putting this here.
Okay, here's the thing.
They would need I-forget-how-much for serves (well over a million a month)
One Dev can have a starting pay of $60 - $70 thousand, while a good Dev having a lot of experience get upwards of $150 thousand a year.
Add to that the cost of utilities and resources etc... servers...
It wasn't cheap to make zOMG or any other online game. It's not gonna be cheap to even make this game we are talking about. That is the problem.
They need somebody to sponsor/fund at least $5 million just to have it built and getting it up and running because it also takes more than a year.
Part of Gaia's problem too is that they pay rent for office space and they need to pay taxes (property as well as State and Federal for yearly income)... that and cost of utilities have gone up. They cannot even go solar or anything because the building they are in is not theirs. But that would cost them millions just to get equipped before it starts to pay for itself and their costs would come down. They are a small business with not enough funds to make any kind of investing (why they keep pushing and why they refuse to take away the gold generators). Everything they have done is an indication of what is going on in an indirect way.
(and yes, having a corporate CEO is costly. They ain't cheap. Keep your eyes on the news for that info instead keeping your head into the internet all the time)
If I had a few million, I would sponsor-fund them for it and more. But I am like you. Powerless.
I like your idea and I support it.
