Beware of the fangirl...The diary of a Gaian.
This is the diary of Dawna Celeste, just another ordinary Gaian...or is she?
The rest of the story...
So, where was I? Oh yes, when the girl came...
Although I was still amazed by the new snippet of information about my family that Cindy had unwittingly given me, the reapearence of the girl was enough to anger me. "Look here..." I started to say to her, but then she looked at me and I saw she had the eyes of an idiot child. She smiled sweetly, then walked over to the waiter and began to take off her top. Thankfully, she didn't manage to, since it was tied in a clumsy knot instead of being properly buttoned, and she seemed to be unable to untie it. The waiter started to shout at her that this was too much, she had already scared away half the customers, she didn't half to gross out the rest.
Surprisingly, Cindy hurried over and began to speak gently to her, trying to make her leave without causing more trouble. She had left the photo on the table! Barely thinking, I snatched it up and quickly slipped it into the pocket of my blouse. I had to have it, it was another link to the truth about me.
Thankfully, Cindy didn't notice that it was missing, and while we ate the remaining brownies, she explained about the girl. "She's a bit...slow, but she knows enough about human behavior to upset people. I don't know why her family lets her act like that..." She sighed. "I feel a bit responsible for her, since she must have gotten the idea from seeing the Sniper's last attack on tv."
Unable to think of a good excuse, I said I'd bring her the database the next day. I'd try to make up an excuse then... But I didn't have to.
A loud whistle came from the canal as I crossed the bridge. Sitting in a boat below me was a girl in black, holding a black cat. "Hey Dawna, it's nice to see you again! Now tell me how you managed to survive a crane landing on your house. I heard the lot of you were squashed flat!"
I looked, blinked, and looked again. Her hair was black instead of the blond I remembered and her eyes were shaded behind thin sunglasses, but she was clearly my old friend from Aekea, Angel!
