CAPPELONE
Cappelone is a kingdom that worships Apollo. Cappelone is geographically the biggest country and the 4th most populous. The vast geographical area allows them to have both borders of desert as well as cooler areas on the west. It’s bordered by Helian Desert to the east, Winland Wood to the north, Centeri Ocean to the south, and Hellebore’s Stream to the west. Across Winland Wood is Vesticordia, the closest major country from Cappelone. Cappelone is separated in two by Hellebore Stream, and the capital, Solarus, lies on the West Cappelone.
Main military occupations are wizards, and Cappelone gives great emphasis on the mastery of magic. King or queen of the country must be a wizard, and the throne is passed on to the person with greatest magic power in spite of their status. Descendant of Apollo is automatically chosen as he or she possesses divine power. Due to this emphasis, Cappelone is famed for its contribution in advancement of magic.
The capital city is Solarus, where the Alectone Castle stands. They carry three-flared sun as national symbol, and the national flower is sunflower. Cappelone's military is the third strongest following Pomerium and Regina, and it is the leading country on military and wizardry education. Cappelone’s education level is the third following Regina and Zana (country of Diana), and its economy is ranked the third largest following Visca and Imperium. Its common civil occupations including tradesmen, brewers, military educators, and artists.
Festivals in Cappelone:
- Night of the Sun,where the day lasted the longest in a year, and wizards will hold the sunlight for a whole day.
- Sunblessing Day, the day of first frost where the king would erect an ice sculpture, and the whole country would wear white.
- Celebration of Apollo, where poems are recited and Royal Entertainers play for civilians.
- Apolline Day, the day where young boys and girls of age 11 would be given laurel wreath.
VESTICORDIA
Vesticordia is an empire that worships Venus. Vesticordia is bordered by Winland Wood to the south, Gillead range to the west, and Pomerium (country of Mars) to the north. Cappelone lies beyond Winland Wood. This is the only country where assassin is included in the military system.
Vesticordia is known for its advancement in medicinal arts and its finery manufactory. Its most common civil occupations includes gardener, midwife, perfumer, and silk-weaver. Vesticordia is also famous for its wolf-taming industry.
POMERIUM
Pomerium worships Mars. It is the strongest military country in the world, with its power consists fully of knights. There are no wizards in Pomerium, and wizardry isn't well-respected, thus leading them to sometimes have sour relationship with Cappelone royalty and Zana.
Pomerium people are known for their loyalty, honesty, and bravery. Knighthood skills are taught to every person in Pomerium until they're of age 13. Afterwards, they can choose to become official knight, or other occupations. Civil occupations in Pomerium including: blacksmiths, clockmakers, toymakers, cheesemongers, and farmers. They're also known for their pottery patterns.
REGINA
Regina lies in the northwest of Pomerium and west of Noctua. It is bordered by Illeas Woods to the south. The northern part of Regina ends in terra nullius known as Qualm Beyond. Regina is the only country to be ruled by women-only since its foundation. It is considered to be one of the strongest military countries, following Pomerium. Its military system consists of equal share of knights and wizards.
People of Regina is known for their wisdom. Regina has supplied numerous great thinkers throughout history. It is also well-known for its national emphasis on education, both in military arts and common education. Most of the civilians work as educators, and Regina provides most of this professionals to other country’s educational system. Besides education, Regina also gives great contribution in the advancement of medicinal arts. Mastery of skills in Reginian population is very well-rounded, thus their civil occupations varies greatly, although most common ones other than educators are including builders, tailors, artists, midwifes, and cooks.
NOCTUA
Noctua is a neighbouring empire located close to Regina. This country worships Minerva, and their main trade is in jewelry and weaponry. It is one of the oldest countries among the 12 major countries. It is bordered by Regina to the west, Illeas Woods to the north, Ballad Forest and Gaia mountain range to the south.This empire is currently led by the last of the original royal family’s bloodline, Empress Koruna Wagler.
Noctua is the only country to have craftsknight as occupation. Craftknights usually encompass both military occupation—knight—and civil occupation, either as blacksmith, armourer, or jeweller. It is very famous for its jewellery manufactory, the Empress herself being one of the greatest magic jewellers in generations. Other military occupation consists of knights largely, and small portion of wizards. Albeit having military power, Noctua is mostly known to provide weaponry more than military professions.
ZANA
Zana worships Diana. This country is considered to be 'the freakiest country in the world'. Zana is the oldest country which was first established by fairies. Albanian people first approached them, and they're responsible in spreading the ways of governance from Zana to the rest of the world, hence establishment of more countries. Following their interaction with Albanian people, Zana royalty developed interest in assassin skills, which roused agitation among the people. This lead to a coup, which was won by the people, and the original royalty was banished. Cappelone kingdom accepted the former royalty and provided them land and security. In return, they promised their loyal protection to the king. Zana's former royalty was what would later be known as Chuurin Clan.
Nowadays, Zana was lead by Cortnert Family. The country was ruled by a princess, while the terms 'king' and 'queen' simply refer to the princess's parents instead of the official rulers. When a princess was ready to lead a country, the sacred tree of Zana would glow. Princess Rechdelve, current leader and Rins's former fiance, claimed her throne at mere age of 6.
All wizards from Zana are dark wizards. They keep their bloodline very carefully to preserve this element. Zaanus are famed for their intelligence and skillfulness. Zana's royal library is the biggest library in the world, containing many important magic documents. They're the leading country for magic development, and is the only country to have school on magical inventions. Zana's military consists mostly of wizards, with a few rune-knights. Zaanus foremost defense was illusion. Civil occupations include: artists, scholars, linguists, gardeners, and hunters.
VISCA
Visca is bordered by Jullien Wood to the north and west, and Gaia Mountain Range to the south and east. Visca has the strongest economic power among the other countries, mostly relying on agriculture and tourism. Visca is the first country to have school on ethics and manners, the Viscians known for their poise and gracefulness. Although having strong political position, Visca is among the youngest countries. Their military power relies mostly on knights, although they provided small portion of rune-knights as well.
Visca and Etna (country of Vulcan) were initially one state until separation due to prolonged civil war in historical time. After the separation of the two states, they co-exist in peace. Noctua was the greatest supporter for Etna, while Visca was supported by Cappelone during the foundation. The royal family of Ixanthus was originally an owner of land near the Rindell Mountain, one of Three Great Mountains on Gaia Mountain Range that borders Visca from Bulla. Civil occupations of Viscians includes gardener, brewer, farmer, tailor, and jeweller. Visca is also well-known for its beautiful landscapes and fine orchards, thus its rapid growth from tourism department.
Visca worships Vesta.
ALBANUS
Albanus is an ocean-locked country that worships Neptune. They used to be in constant state of civil wars between two major clans. After the last war, they established diarchy system, although the chiefs are still hostile to one another.
Albanus is one of the oldest countries among the 12. It's historically marked to be the place where magic originated, and had been famed for supplying some of the greatest wizards in existence. Contrary to Cappelone who supplies most light wizards, most Albanian wizards have element of either water or darkness. A strange country with culture and beliefs of its own, Albanians are stigmatized to be untrustworthy.
The military consists mostly of wizards, while the civil occupations include sailors, fishermen, tradesmen, and cartographer. Albanus has one of the largest libraries in the world, mostly consisting of detailed maps of the world and books regarding world geography.
IMPERIUM
Imperium is a kingdom that worships Jupiter. Viridian Sea separates it from the closest major country, Albanus. It is one of the wealthiest countries with advanced trading system, and is famed for its vast trading docks.
The country closely resembles Regina. Imperium is ranked the second strongest in military power, and it is the most populous country in the world. In spite of its strong military power, Imperium relies mostly on diplomacy and is regarded to be one of the most peaceful countries.
