Trying to figure out how to talk on forums again. When I was much younger (12~14), I used to chat on forum sites with people about just, like, fandom stuff and whatnot (Redwall, Warriors, and Harry Potter being the usual ones), but I have no idea how to start up or continue conversations now. sweatdrop
I'd love to do something like that again, and make some online friends. Back then, it was most likely because I was too shy to talk to anyone in real life (hello, stress-headaches from so much as ordering from a drive-thru), but now that I've gotten somewhat better at it, I've gotten way more nervous about online-chatting in turn. What if I say the wrong thing? What if I accidentally hurt someone's feelings? What if I just bore them and can't carry a conversation or think of anything to say? I think it's worries like that holding me back now, probably. More "planning what to say" than "actually saying things"...
Being 27 ( emotion_8c ) now, I think the potential age-gap between online people might also worry me a bit. Like, I could accidentally be talking to someone underage- not that I ever want to or like to talk about stuff that would be inappropriate for someone younger (I prefer people trying to NSFW talk to just DNI, as I'm happily taken and don't care for that stuff anyway), but I do worry that I would get into a conversation with someone and I'm like 12+ years older than them, and it might look like I was trying to be a creeper. I dunno. cat_gonk Worry, worry.
I also miss random rp-ing! I wanna write fun stories with people as, like, my Gaia avatar, or wolves, or dragons. Something like that! Pokémon, Digimon, Warriors, anything! emotion_dealwithit I don't care if "wolf pack on a quest" roleplays are "cringe". Just looking to have fun again.
...maybe I'll go message the Chatterbox forum and see if anyone else wants to talk or be friends.
