On Astrid's Base Avatar
Skin
Astrid's skin is pretty much her most defining feature -- it's unique in an unfortunate way. Being covered in skin grafts of vastly different colors doesn't help one's social anxiety or performance one bit. You may notice my preview avatar has both on them -- the Superior Form doesn't play nicely with any brow mods, but the Oxide Frankie Frappe does. And since the two are the same color she can sometimes get away with wearing both. Otherwise I tend to switch between them depending on whether I need her arms and legs or not.
Eyes
Astrid's eyes are important too -- they have to be true black, big, round-ish, and play nicely with the black Undereye Eyeshadow. Even if it's not always necessary.
Nose & Mouth
For as much as I talk about Astrid's "small but noticeable button nose," I've never really depicted it in her avatar. I've always been super picky about noses; I had to find one of the right size, position, and color for her features. Finding a nose for her actually prompted me to make this whole journal lmfao. And I honestly really only have one rule for her mouth; no lipstick.
Hair
My kingdom for more true black hair. It always takes me forever to find a hair item that I think is dark and loose and bushy enough for her, so when I do I jump on it. Bonus points if it's a similar length to the Idiot Hair, but I don't really consider that necessary.
