Today is our local King Coal Festival so I thought I'd use it for some inspiration for a theme.
It is bad luck to enter a mine if you meet a red headed women on the way to work. Any women entering a mine is supposed to be bad luck too.
Crumbs in a miners dinner pail are suppose to have supernatural powers.
Mine rats know of impending danger so if you see one running you better run too.
Whistling in a coal mine is bad luck. It would either drive away the good spirits or offend the tommyknockers.
If you see a strange random light in a mine it means death is near.
It is bad luck to go in a mine after dark.
Coal dust in a miners eye is good luck but slate is bad luck.
It is bad luck to drop your tools in a mine.
