MY HAIR THAT HIDES ALL MY SORROW

My hair falls over my face hiding it all.
None can see if there is a smile or a frown.
The pain in my eyes can’t be viewed.
My expressions are hidden from all.

The sins that are under my eyes are known by few.
My eyes show pain and joy.
Those that I know know the pain I speak of.
The joy is there for everyone to see.
When the pain comes my hair falls again to cover my sorrow.

I walk down these halls with joy in my step.
These halls have become my home.
The lonely people in these halls have become my family.

I bring those I love close to me and hold them in my arms.
I hold them tight in my loving arms close to my heart.
I don’t want the day to come when my hair falls because they are gone.

These people are my family.
These halls are my home.
I will hold them as long as I can.
I will walk these halls until I no longer can.
