We're still working out the plot and character details of the new mystery story! Our MC doesn't even have a name yet, or a solid appearance (the only detail is that his/her hair is red, as Alice's was in the Sci-Fi series).

Although in my heart the main cast is entirely Asian (thanks, k-pop), we love ~diversity~ in these parts and as thus the main characters will be described vaguely in such a way that their ethnicity is questionable.

Annie - the Best Friend and possibly a secondary LI. She's outgoing and brave, but kind of loud/childish at times. Dark hair. Affinity for winking. Kalare + Weiss + Sungmin vibes. STEM major (????).

Nik (Nick?) - the upper year dude in the cohort, second year, the main LI. He's basically the stereotypical male lead of any generic teen novel: is handsome (brown hair), really nice person/"Golden Boy", for some reason is protective of MC. If MC didn't need to be the cohort's leader for ~plot reasons~, he probably would. Cian + Roux + Ace vibes. Arts major.

Jace - yet another stereotype: the strong silent one. he's really quiet and reads a lot during their meetings. Unlike in my original plans, Jace is ACTUALLY going to be a third year student and therefore the oldest of the group. He's the smart and technologically competent one. Blonde and built like those American superhero actors. Sergei + Zach vibes with a bit of Leedo from Oneus LOL. STEM major (?)

Yuki - The quiet sweet one. She and Annie are the "We trust MC after just meeting him/her" gang. Her kind and forgiving nature may land her in hot water. Black hair. She's Japanese, if you couldn't pick that up from her name. Science major, not sure what stream yet. The only ones she's comparable to are Rei + Mikil.

Min Hyuk - Sassy, chaotically and canonically gay. Built like those suuuuper skinny idols (i.e. the writer's bias from oneus / tbz). He's tired of this corrupted system, man, and just wants to be a fashion designer. Has a difficult time trusting his cohort, for reasons I have yet to figure out. Arts major.
