BOOK OF CHAOS
OLD & NEW IDEAS
OLD #6
Lymphatic system. The lymphatic drainage of the thyroid gland runs in the interlobular connective tissue and and then communicates the network of lymphatic vessels. These lymphatic vessels communicate with the tracheal plexus, and pass to prelaryngeal nodes above the thyroid isthmus > pretracheal > paratracheal nodes. Some may drain into brachiocephalic nodes.
It is said the throat chakra controls the balance between emotions and intellect. People with an overactive thyroid may exhibit marked anxiety and tension, emotional liability, impatience and irritability, distractible overactivity, exaggerated sensitivity to noise, and fluctuating depression with sadness and problems with sleep and the appetite. These all affects ones ability to think.
anxity and brain ?
Meridians, Nervous system, circulatory system
Solar Plexus = sense of self, including self-control and self-confidence. In the body it is the Adrenal gland and Pancreas?
We look deeper. Energy in the body come in the form of liquid. Blood. hormones. Adrenaline. spinal fluid. Brain fluid. etc. Without these liquids the body could not function. The organs exist to carry these fluids. Even bone where blood is made in the bone marrow. The Pancreas regulates blood sugar levels, secreting the hormones insulin, glucagon, somatostatin, pancreatic polypeptid. The Adrenal gland produces the hormones adrenaline, and the steroid aldosterone and cortisol.
adrenal glands work with the pancreas to balance and regulate blood sugar. When you eat some carbohydrates (sugar), insulin from the pancreas helps to lower blood glucose levels.

Adrenaline causes an increase in the rate of blood circulation, breathing, and carbohydrate metabolism and prepares muscles for exertion. This is a flight or fight response. Adrenaline allows people to lift cars. Aldosterone, the main mineralocorticoid hormone, is a steroid hormone produced by the zona glomerulosa of the adrenal cortex in the adrenal gland. It is essential for sodium conservation in the kidney, salivary glands, sweat glands and colon. ost bodily cells have cortisol receptors, it affects many different functions in the body. Cortisol can help control blood sugar levels, regulate metabolism, help reduce inflammation, and assist with memory formulation. It has a controlling effect on salt and water balance and helps control blood pressure. In women, cortisol also supports the developing fetus during pregnancy. All of these functions make cortisol a crucial hormone to protect overall health and well-being. Insulin it is considered to be the main anabolic hormone of the body. It regulates the metabolism of carbohydrates, fats and protein
glucagon
a hormone formed in the pancreas which promotes the breakdown of glycogen to glucose in the liver.
Somatostatin
. Somatostatin inhibits insulin and glucagon secretion.
pancreatic polypeptide
it may act as a feedback inhibitor of pancreatic secretion after a meal.
so we go back to the solar plexus and discover a connection.
We know the solar plexus is related to the fire element. The Pancreas a as a gland is known to produce hormones, such as insulin, and excretes juices utilized in the digestive process. Insulin plays an important role in regulating internal functions such as metabolism, growth and temperature regulation. The Adrenals regulate blood flow. Allows muscles to stretch. These are acts that create heat or regulate heat.
