So. Yeah, arguments are not fun. Contrary to what people think, I don't like debating with people over matters such as the one that dealed with Nevada-tan. I do it usually to piss people off when they know I'm kidding so I make their head hurt. But whatever, I'm over it, and stuff.
Las Vegas Otaku's Eat 'N Greet was today, we got to eat at Lindo Michoacan, my all-time favorite Mexican place, if you ever come to Las Vegas, and you have local friends, make them or take them there, it's so good. I'm glad everyone liked my decision, it was really great to see everyone again. I got in some good advice with my Math classes with Eishagishi, I wish I could remember his real name. xp
Tony/Ganguro drove me home, with my back pockets full of the candies they have in the basket next to the register. Those candies are second only to Claim Jumper's root beer candies. Jason, 2.0, and Veronica showed up too a little later, I was glad they made the trek, 2.0 and Veronica had picked up Jason from work at 6, so that was why they were late. I hope they enjoyed their food, they went all generic white people and stuck with food like the tacos and bean burritos. So unoriginal, not like Tony, who had Sopa de Birria, which is a yummy brothy soup with goat meat in it. It's a lot tastier than you'd think, myself I had Carnitas, which is really slow cooked pork in spices, which just falls apart when you wrap in in tortillas and add stuff to it. I think I filled up on chips with salsa and beans, because I barely finished my dinner, but I still finished it, I'm not one for take-home boxes. 3nodding xd
Earlier today, Kalen called me and said he had given the heads up to the hiring lady at Best Buy, so all day I was on pins and needles about it, and before I left for Lindo Michoacan, I filled out my application. When I got home, just out of desperate curiousity I wanted to ask Kelly if they had called at all, but she seemed in a bad mood, Sophia hadn't actually been an angel today. I honestly felt bad I sort of abandoned her to go out and eat with my friends. I think I will go buy her a card or something, the other day she gave me a thank-you card out of nowhere because of how I always watch "Miss Sophia" for her. She deserves a thank-you around here more than anyone, that's for sure. She's SuperMom or something. xd
So instead of asking her, when they went off to bed and I came downstairs to watch Project Runway on the nice T.V., I checked the Caller I.D. on a whim, and there was a call from Best Buy, and I was like this: eek mrgreen talk2hand .
But then, when I realized I'd missed the call, I was like this: eek gonk crying wahmbulance emo
So yeah, now I've been stressing about waking up tomorrow so I can call them and get my interview. I really want this job. REALLY REALLY. REALLY REALLY REALLY. domokun twisted dramallama
Man, I am such an emoticon whore. mrgreen Oh, there I go again.
~~~ Oh, and to conclude, here are my thoughts on Project Runway:
I think the challenge to design Tara's (Miss USA) evening gown was definitely something different. At first, I was a little wary that Kayne was going all "pageant-crazy" as a suck-up method to her, but I think he really came out on top, thanks to a little of Robert's sophistication in the dress. They make a really great team.
Angela. Seeing Angela in the beginning of the episode already leeching onto Kayne while they were supposed to be sketching was annoying and completely immature. Not only that, but to come up to Tara with absolutely nothing sketched because you've been busy mooching people because they'll get you through to the next round is despicable. I'm glad Heidi told her later that she barely made it through, since the only reason Malan was out was because it was his own failed design.
Vincent's "I'm-the-leader" attitude was pissing me off as well. Yes, he was the leader, so that gave him some authority, but for him to just push Angela off and make a wall was so stupid. I do think Angela could have stepped it up a bit and said, "HEY. Let me do something.", but Vincent shouldn't have made the dress all about him, because without those classy sleeves, that dress was not impressive in the slightest.
Malan and Katherine's dress was a bit of a shock. I really thought they would go far with this challenge, but I don't know what happened with the gown, maybe they misunderstood the directions or something, it was a bad omen to see them cutting the bottom hems when Tim was calling time, and you could definitely see all the hanging threads when the model was on the runway.
For people who weren't too happy with Katherine's pointing the finger at Malan, yes, it was brutal, but it was an honest opinion, and Heidi asked her, so obviously she wouldn't want to go home herself, and least she didn't try to bullshit the judges, I respect her for that at least. Malan took that hit hard too, and depsite how much his laugh scared me in the beginning, I'm going to miss him, he seemed like he would do so well.
I'm excited to see this "accessory" everyone's talking about as the challenge for next week's episode. I don't wear dresses so anyone's guess is as good as mine. Also, from the next episode previews, I'm disappointed Keith and Laura are fighting, I like both of them as designers, seeing drama would suck, I already see enough crap from Vincent, and it's only a few episodes before Angela is gone if she can't work construction on a dress.
