Well, I'm actually surprised. The rate of troublemakers has gone down, as with a LITTLE of the stress. It's this kind of day I like. Nice and easy. Of coarse, the day wouldn't be complete without SOMETHING going at least a little hectic.

Somehow, we ended up in the big 'ol coupon book for our glorious state...whoopie... stare More headaches...In our store, unlike our bretheren stores, we have special buttons for special discounts. In the big book of coupons that we were placed in, it was said upon purchase of $10 or more of candy, the person would recieve 20% off. PROBLEM!!! wahmbulance Unlike other stores in our company, the lazy butts never gave us a 20% off button aside the employee button that is STRICTLY used for our company employees. Some lady INSISTED on using that coupon, so I had to call the store manager and have them talk it out. I had to use the closest thing to 20%, and that was 25%. It wasn't what was supposed to be used, but hey, if corporate doesn't give us ALL the register functions we need, then this is their fault for the confusion and chaos.

And by the end of the day, we were happy that we made sales goal, and then some. And some guy and his wife were buying Jordan Almonds and as I was ringing up the people in front of them....no surprise...they ate an almond. I told them "You can't eat candy before you buy it. It takes from the weight and is considered stealing." The guy just smiles at me and says "If it takes from the weight, how come it says it's at the same weight as before I took an almond?" ...mister...THAT IS NOT THE POINT!!!!!! stare This happens day, after day, after day. And while it is no surprise, it does get more and more agrivating! stressed Some people just don't get it...they eat candy before they buy it...THAT. IS. STEALING!!!!! They may not know this, but it's true! Not to mention it's common sence not to eat candy until it's purchased! But only about...40% of the people that buy candy seem to have that common sence. stare I'm glad for them, and angry at everyone else.
