Characteristics: Getting extremely mad and whipping eveyone, selfishness, cruelty, and a big appetite for sex. *wince* That came out wrong... or maybe right... sweatdrop
Background: Lyra was the head of her own sort of rogue army that occasionally paid service to the king, but mostly roamed the land wreaking havoc. Gamon, the king's head knight dude, was sent with a small force to stop her. Being a peaceful (and sensible) man, he first tries to make peace with Lyra. He goes in to her camp and witnesses her savagery in person. However, she is always very sweet to him. ~~~~~~ skip tape, nyp nyp~~~~
Anyway, to make a long story (read: novel) short, Gamon kind of falls in love with her, and he realizes that underneath her tough exterior she is just a little girl wanting love and attention. MEANWHILE the king is getting impatient. He sends along ANOTHER army, led by Lyon, Lyra's brother who is no less evil but is under the king's protection. Gamon is forced to watch as Lyon takes over Lyra's camp and captures her. Lyra is taken to a slave market... and sold. Her whip and personal belongings are burned. Gamon secretly collects the ashes.
He goes to the market and buys Lyra, but is shocked at her apperance. The once proud queen is now a pitiful lump, to put it bluntly. He gives her the ashes in a bag, but she dumps them out. He calls her name, but she tells him she is no longer Lyra.
"Then who are you?" he asked, half jesting.
"Ash. Dust," she replied, turning away.
"Well then, Ashe Dust, would you come with me to help lead my army with me?" Gamon asked, taking her hand. She turned towards him and buried her face against him. He gently picked her up and carried her to his horse.

Gamon takes Lyra back. But in the morning, she is gone. eek Oh no! Where has she gone? Well, I dunno. I'm only the author here. I don't know EVERTHING, after all. xp
