Once this upcomming school semester ends...I. Am. Getting. A. New. Job!!!!!
*twitch* As I'm sure anyone that's been reading my posts from the beginning has noted, snappy parents have become a HUGE source of my stress. And last night...only proved it...
A young girl, old enough to start learning NOT TO TOUCH THE CANDY, was tossing a giant gummi spider around in a bin, for fun. I calmly walked over and motioned for her to back away, which was my way of saying "don't touch." I took the one gummi that I KNEW she touched, and I looked at the lady that was just WATCHING and asked which other one she was playing with, and she said the one I picked up was the only one. Being as nice as I am, I simply said "Ok" And let them go about picking out what other candies they want...
Do you think I was being rude? No? Well, obviously one of the ladies in the group did.
Before they left, she said,
" stare May I make a suggestion?"
"Sure..."
" mad You were being AWFULLY rude. She's just a little child. And you DON'T need to be so rude towards her."
She just kept going on about me being rude...
No surprise, she was giving me a glare the whole time. Not wanting to start a full fledged fight, I simply said [In a not-very heart-filled manner] "Sorry."
stare scream I'd like to see her do my job!!!!!!!! It's NOT just her child I was stopping! I got that from at LEAST 10 other children younger and older then her, and from adults older then her as well! I wasn't spiting her kid! And she had the NERVE to yell at ME for DOING MY JOB!? The GIRL was doing the crime in the store, violating the health code laws! I was only ENFORCING it!!!! stressed Arg! What I'd give to give her a piece of my mind and have her work my job for 2+ years with candy-eager kids! Then let's see if she says the same thing to me after getting snapped at by OTHER parents like her!
stressed The parent from two nights ago, with the kid who tried to stick a slobbered on gummi snake back in the bin took to my alert better then that snappy #$^%*...And that other kid was doing something worse! scream
Parents: When in a candy store, or a similar fashoned store, do NOT yell at the employees for removing your kids' hands from a container! They are only DOING THEIR JOBS KEEPING THE FOOD CLEAN!!!! IT IS THE KIDS THAT ARE DOING SOMETHING WRONG!!! YELL AT YOUR KIDS INSTEAD!!! *sends Gwee after snappy parents who think their kids can do no wrong*
