Jack watched with an unwavering gaze as Grim continued to record the new souls into The Book of the dead. Within his dark empty bowels, the very same feeling he had felt when he was put through the same ordeal many years ago, came back as it always did as he watched the spectacle unfurl...the many numbers of new souls quickly parting off to their own seprate ways through the crowd of onlookers.

"Geez... I didn't think this many people died -" Kuwabara began, his eyes trying to follow the long line that seemed to stretch endlessly before them, but befor he could finish a strange, dark, voice sounded behind him.

" This is nothing...sometimes we have twice this many on the Ceremonial night come here to be recorded. I should know...I was one out of what seemed like a throng of millions. " The voice stepped closer to the boys and looked over at them with his pools of yellow light dimming slightly. " I'll never forget that night...never..."

"GAH! WHAT THE SPIT! WHO ARE YOU?! Ehh..he looks like a rock monster..!" Spazzing out like usual, Kuwabara flew out of his spot and landed dangerously close to Hiei ( Who had come down from the tree and was coming towards them) who was in no mood for foolishness.

"What the hell is wrong with you? " He glared at his comrade, his crimson eyes full of inner anger rising.

"HEY! IT'S NOT MY FAULT! THAT WEIRD GUY CAME OUTTA NOWHERE!"
Suddenly realizing that the stranger was still among them, he turned his head around slowly and blinked. " Uhh...opps..."

"Heh, its alright. One must be used to being called 'weird' . Since I am very much 'Weird'. " For a moment his eyes dimmed out completely as the silence over took him. " That night...that night when all there was, was cold wind and a silence deader than the death itself. ..Oh, well..lookie there. Its our newbie is coming up to Grim ....Hope it isn't too painful for her. "

" HEY! THATS NOT COOL! GARGOYLE SAVE THE SAD STUFF FOR LATER!" Running tp his friend at top speed, his dark empty eye sockets open wide and full of inner joy.
" I CAN"T WAIT TO SEE HER GET PUT IN THE BOOK!! I STILL REMEMBER MINE!! "

"So, what happened to you boney-butt? You never did tell us.." Yusuke said turning his head around, his eyes locked onto Jack.

"Ah..well...its too GRUESOME for words! I'll save it for later! Its a real tear-jerker!"
laughing like a loonatic does in the face of danger, Jack laughed so hard his pale skull face turned red.
