Well more school this week thats the main thing thats been going on with me now. This girl Sarah has kinda befriended me...hmm she likes drugs to much though. So it's been alright though and I've mainly just been on my computer now.
Well today I got to watch Silent Hill the movie...and I did enjoy it. Hearing the music from the game in the movie was just so cool it was like the only music they used except for one moment another song played but it made perfect sense. So that was really aweasome just hearing video game music was cool and the movie actually was somewhat based and very related to the games specifically the original. The main charcter is mother though instead of a father looking for his missing daughter though and the start of the movie things were switched around from meeting the police officer and such. So of course it wasn't an exact copy but it's still forgivable and I don't exactly mind. There were still characters from the first game and I am a little disappointed that one them was well completely different and the other had very little to basically nothing to do with the plot. So the only character who was really true to her character and had a big role was the police officer.
The environments were great though they did Really good with them I mean it really did look how it's supposed to...it looked all crazy and rusted and decaying. So I was very happy to see they did put effort into that I mean it looked ******** great. Plus especially when you see the transistion from that realm then it's all foggy and it's completely different I was definately pleased with that. Plus the first time she experienced it was really good since it was basically exactly like how it started in the game. The creatures and monsters in the movie were also based on the game although some were from the 2nd game. There was a few other creatures that haven't been in the game but they were fitting and appropiate and looked like you would see them in the game.
So basically the movie was great just a few things with the story I would like more in there although the story was still in there definately but the movie was actually like two hours so it's already longer than an average movie and they did put in story so honestly I think they did a pretty good job for what they can do for a film. I mean I love story and I wish it could be longer but movies don't work like that and people will get bored if it's presented in an interesting manner. But you can't stretch out the movie to long and then have like a million plotholes or just get to bland. Plus it's a horror movie and those things are like so popular and they have the simplest stories interesting sometimes but they are easy to come up with and often not very original and filled with little actual story and value. So the fact this actually it's just like "OMG we are trapped in this town and we are liek all dying and stuffs oh noez" oh something wacky like "Oh lol it turns out one of my friends turned out to behind us getting into all this trouble but we defeated them and one of my other friends survived with me and of course they are a member of the opposite sex so we can be a couple yayz" Ok well anyways this really wasn't a typical horror in fact it's more graphic and actual horrifying than actually scary. You see some freaky s**t at times and stuff thats plain disturbing just like the games. Dead bodies on the wall hanging and such. People cut apart and blood everywhere.
So I liked the horror in the movie a lot actually upon writing this I liked it more now since I'm understanding even more reasons it is actually one of my favorite horror movies now. I'm not a horror movie fan the s**t gets to me and makes me paranoid but I still can't help but be drawn to that curosity and excitement of fear. So I'm often interested in horror movies but don't see many. It's mainly probably because of those stupid scare jump moments though which are so lame but they always get me even though I knew their pattern it gets intense and the first jump is false alarm like one of their buddies or some animal then the real scary jump happens so lame but it's always works and gets me. There weren't really much jumping parts here and the way things did happen though was just idk I really liked it. Plus I still jumped though because well it's me sweatdrop but I didn't feel cheated for a cheap scare because the things that you would see their are scary. Plus since I've played the games and liked them I'm going to understand it more and like it more. Well yeah I did so honestly I thought it was a really good horror film and a great video game movie definately the best I've seen. Oh and I'm not a gore lover but honestly that one barbed wire part where that one thing happens I will admit it was pretty ******** aweasome...hehe lol.
But yeah I'm happy with it I mean there could have been more story and a bit more like the original game but still it was enjoyable and again I applaud them on using music from the game that is aweasome. So I enjoed this movie more than the actual 4th game and probably the 3rd I just didn't like those very much. 1st one was scary and the 2nd had such a deep analysis and amazing graphics at the time especially plus it was definately had some creepy s**t too. But the movie was fun and gosh I'm glad they did a good job with the environments. Well yeah I'll write later.
