Dark Reflection: Setup and Setting
Since the topic of the setting has become somewhat problematic I'd like to clear a few things up. For this world of darkness RPG, I chose to create a fictional city based on what I'm familiar with, so that means: beachs, urban, suburban and dessert locales.

Contrary to the suggestions of some of my players to drop it in the middle of a Nevada-esque dessert, I'm putting it on the beach. Why? because I plan to throw a Ghost Ship at them later and frack it, you just don't have ghost ships or sea monsters pop up in the middle of a lake even if it is big enough to be an inland sea. (Well maybe sea monsters.)

To the players of my game let me say if you have your hearts set on something then ask me first and I'll probably put it in, but the setting is the one thing I'm stuck on. I have my heart set on this. I may still change things around, but please take a look at what I have in mind so far. If you think it could be better, please tell me how and I'll work on it. The point is for everyone to have fun, right?

Crescent Bay
Originally the location of a Spanish mission (a historical location in modern times) that had converted the natives to Christianity. The village went from a farming and fishing community to becoming an actual city as imigrants and pioneers came west. (Yes Chaos there is some stuff built on ancient Indian Barrial Grounds.) We've all heard this story before so I'll skip the gritty details.

Flash forward a ways and you have a thriving metropolis, a real center of industry. There are facorties all along the outside of town mainly for airplane construction with a small airstrip nearby. Then the factories all go bust as demand dies out. Modern day Crescent Bay has decayed into a shadow of it's former glory. Most, if not all, of the factories are abandoned and the airstrip has been left to rot along w/ many of the buildings in the city.

So only about half of what you see if really what you get. One of the only things still successful is the private university on the inland edge of the city. Also, some of the tourist attractions near the beach and the shipping industry located int he docks are surviving. (by the way Kain I took your suggestion and shrunk things down.) This small city is isolated on all sides by either the actual sea or a sea of sand, the only green is inside the city limits. Getting in or out of Crescent Bay to the next city requires either a very long drive or boat ride.

Okay that's all I'll put up for today. Any more details on the setting will be posted as either the players encounter them or as I think them up. sweatdrop
Yume out.
