knock knock! *rose*
Luman awoke to a pounding on the door to his quarters. He was surprised that he could hear it from way back into his bedroom, and wondered why they hadn't used the bell. Throwing on his robe, he hurried out into the hall, through the kitchen and living room, and only then realized. They weren't knocking, they were breaking down his door. With a large post. He almost jumped when at the next hit it punched through, and then was pulled out of the hole in his door. Almost jumped. But did not.

He watched as a hand went through the hole and reached up for the knob. As it patted around the door, looking for the handle, he spoke, and the hand froze.
"You know, you could have just rung the bell." He said coldly. He already recognized the hand of one of Uli's henchmen. He snarled. "Get your filthy hand out of my door!" he yelled, and dashed the last few feet to the floor and yanked it open. The unfortunate henchman's arm got wrenched as he stumbled into the room, syill with his arm in the door.

Uli stood outside the door, unperterbed.

"Dear brother," she started, her voice too syrupy sweet, like thick maple syrup. Rotten maple syrup, as the tone did not fit her at all. "it has come to our attention that you have been deceiving us." she said. She strolled into his apartment, and into his living room. She sat herself in the middle of the couch, and her cronies followed her, all taking their own seats. He followed, but opted to stand.

Then Uli told him most of what she knew about his "guest". He was seated in a chair before he realized, having plopped down somewhere along the time when she told him what he didn't know- that Rose had left the house, and was not in town any longer. She had to be found... or else....

Even though he almost would have rather been neutered, he told Uli what he had done, and what their mother had done to Rose, to try to ensure her... loyalty. Uli shook her head.

"Dear brother, you hardly deserve to live after this mess." she said simply. He knew she did not mean it. Could not. Because what had been done was done that way for many reasons. Some of which she obviously understood herself. If you permanently brainwashed a person, they believed all you said. And became all you told them to be. But if it was less than permanent... and had to be reinforced every so often, it could wear off.

Luman's plan had been to constrain all Rose's non-demon fibers, and limit her to pure demon. But they all knew that her greatest worth was that of one of the other bloods she had in her. To cut it out completely would have been ruin. This, Uli understood. And thus, the need to readminister the brain washing was also understood. As was the dark deeds she had been assigned. To totally destroy or at least cause great damage to her old friends, among other things she would later do at their bidding, would be enough that, when her other bloods were allowed to finally emerge, she would still be inherantly evil and tied to the family. Uli knew all this. Luman managaed not to explain any more.

Uli stood up, as did her followers. "Well, we must find her, and as soon as possible." she said. She walked over to Luman, though, and peered up at him distastefully, as if smelling something rotten. Her eyes lit up, and he saw her raise her hand.

Uli's backhand sent Luman head over heels out of his chair, to lie in a crumpled, unconscious mess. "Stupid b@$&%rd." she said, as she swept out of his apartments, already making plans for the hunt.

Okay. The entry was going to be longer. And it isn't short because that thing didn't happen. Au contraire. It did. I got some quiet time today. Some. But, after a bit of puttering, I spent most of that time at the movie theatre. Too long had Dead Man's Chest been calling. And I loved it. But I have to say, it was quite a LOTR ending. Could it have been more obvious that they planned on extending the thing to yet another movie? I mean, seriously! Okay. I'm done now.

Meh. Everyone is inherently evil. It's all a degree of using the evil.

Although, I am quite troubled by the fact that a simple b*tchslap from his sister can actually knock him out, which means that we maybe a bit out of our class....
