The Cat
The sun rises in the endless sky
As the mountain breaths in the crisp cool air
A cat runs wild across the mountain
She loves the feel of snow under her feet
This happens day in and day out
And will continue to do so until
The monkeys move in and cut the earth
And smother the sky with their grey blanket
They trap the cat, who was once the queen of the mountain
In a cage so she may never run wild again
The once heavenly place
Now only a memory in the mountain’s mind
The cat will never be able to run wild again
She will never again feel the snow under her feet
She wonders what the world is coming to
As she closes her eyes for ever
All thanks to the monkeys
Who cut the earth and darkened the sky
