I need a new topic for today, one that is cheerful so that I do not allow myself to sink into depression, because that would not be good.
How about birthdays? Yes, that is today's topic. my friend is having a birthday party tonight, a sleepover actually, and we're going to Happi Sushi for dinner (this awesome chinese restaurant. Unless it is japanese...I dunno I've never been there). My other friend is having a party next weekend, I think.....that shouldbe fun too....
Do I sound bored? I am not bored. I am very excited for the birthdays. I am just sorta tired and disheartened. Don't ask me why!
So. Birthdays. Isn't it funny that we are only born once, but we celebrate it every year? It should be called the anniversary of our birthday, not our birthday itself. Cause otherwise we'd be reborn once a year.
Maybe that wouldn't be such a bad thing, to be reborn once a year. Then you can retain your innocence, remain untouched and unhurt by the bad things in the world. Then you can live without fear of violence, sadness, unreturned love, hunger, poverty, anger......anything bad. And even if some poor soul DID learn about that, it wouldn't matter that much because they'd be reborn soon anyway.
Although I think God has more fun messing with us this way. This way, where we have to feel all that pain. this way, where sometimes there isn't any escape from it. Maybe this is just how it is supposed to be.
