Love & Peace
Pacifism... Nah...
Parties are an unusual place to find me, usually.
I am not a person who goes to parties and you would be much more likely to find me at home reading or writing on a Friday night.
But last friday I was talked into going to a party by a group of friends of mine.

Loveela's friend from Guelph was up for the weekend and so she wanted to take him to a gathering so that he could meet some humanoids in a relaxed setting. Of course she doesn't usually go to parties so she invited me a long.

I am not quite sure how her logic works.

We got there and it was fine. I mostly stayed on the computer and treated a small inebreiated(sp?) crowd to random flash animations (like I said, I am not a perty person). They seemed to enjoy them supriseingly enough. I was haveing an o.k. time for someone that rarely leaves his house but of course my bad luck again caught up to me.

Another friend of mine was haveing a rough time; I won't mention this friend's name but she gets into very anti-social states where she sits alone and is unresponsive. I know better then to try to pull her back from where ever it is she goes (it isn't what she wants) but I tried to move her into an empty room so other people wouldn't bother her (her complex is unique in that she doesn't do what she does for attention but she gets it because she seems sad. Really she is just thinking and wishes not to be disturbed).

I got her into an empty room but the guy who owns said room arrived and kicked her out so he could sleep. So we sat in the hallway awhile.

A man walked up the stairs, tried to open a door, failed and stomped angrily down the stairs.

I recognized him as another person who lived in the house and found out later that it had been his door he was trying to open as he needed to work the next day and therfore needed sleep.

Well, anyway, he stomped down the stairs and my friend and I began to here the sounds of things being thrown around soon after.

Our things were piled with everyone else's at the bottom so we curiously and foolishly crept over to the top of the stairs. The room that had been locked also opened and two females came to stand behind us.

The man was throwing shoes and other objects around. It looked like he was searching for something. I found out later he was searching for the key for his door but at that moment I was confused and also realizeing that where we were standing was not a good place to be standing.

It was one of those situatiosn where you just know soemthing bad is going to happen but you can't stop it. It happened too fast. A size 10 men's running shoe came sailing up the stairs and hit with bruiseing force. I dropped the papers I had been holding, my right hand throbbing. I fell back against the girls who were standing behind me. We all moved away from the stairs and I dropped to a crouching position in the hall, examining my injury.

It hurt, it hurt a lot . The shoe had hit my thumb stright on (I had been holding about 6 sheets of paper in my hand and a pencil so my thumb was held interestingly because i was holding something) and it had jammed it into my hand as well as hitting bruiseing it. It began to swell and Loveela's friend Cameron came up the stairs, saw my injury and went to get ice.

It wasn't broken, only bruised so I didn't think going to the hospital would make that much sense. I went to Loveela's house instead as she said she had some painkillers. Unfortunately they were the children's strawberry flavoured kind and so I was allergic and couldn't take any. gonk

I then fell asleep there and woke up with less swelling but a pretty sizeably bruise and limited motion with extreme pain.

I'm now bandaged up but unable to write or most devstatingly draw. *Is sad*.

Well that is the story of my weekend. Top that one. sweatdrop stressed crying
