Chapter 1-
I've been traveling for the last four years of my life. Currently, I'm fifteen years old, blonde, and a ninja. A year before I was born, a nine-tailed demon fox had attacked the Hidden Village of Konoha. As a last result, the Fourth Hokage was forced to use the legendary sword, The Light of Heaven, and managed to seal the demon inside a newborn baby. My quest, as you might have already guessed, is to find the baby. After the demon was sealed into the child, it disappeared without a trace. Many assasins, hitmen, and trackers have been empoyed to locate this person, but to no avail. And, of course, I'm not going to let that stop me. For three weeks I've been sneeking around the Hidden Mist village, and I think I finally have a lead. Yesterday, I went to go visit this old sensei who had been in the massacre. Without question, he told me of a boy who was told to be one of the demon's early friends. Cautioning me, that this person was extremely dangerous. Sasuke Uchiha, the sole heir to the Uchiha clan was supposedly living near the prestigous Sound Village. Resently, the Village Hidden in the Sound had risen to power, nearly destroying Konoha.
Regrettably, i've been on this assignment with my team, and well, they're still not so thrilled.
"Oi! Chika, when are we going to find this guy anyway?" complained the second member of the team, Hoshi. His name means 'star' but all I see is a bumbling idiot.
"I already told you, as soon as we get to the hidden sound village..."
The other occupant of our group is Yoko, he's pretty, but you'll understand when I call him 'too disinterested'. "Hey Yoko! you com'n?"
"You don't expect to me to go all the way to the sound village in two days, do you?" asked Yoko.
"Well, yeah. We finally have a lead after four years, FOUR YEARS!"
After hearing what I said, he just sighs. We may not look it, but our group is extemely strange considering our ninja arts specialize in elements. Hoshi is a fire ninja, Yoko specializes in water arts, and I'm a wind ninja. Our group used to have four members, but he died the year before in the last parts of the war between the sound and Leaf villages. We were sad, yeah, but Arashi-sensei forbade us to get too depressed. By the way, we're AMBU members, and in my opinion our jobs really suck. That definitely includes this one!
So, after two days we've finally reached the Sound Village. The minute we arrive at Sasuke Uchiha's residence, we're attacked! Reacting purely through instinct, we dodge shurikens and kuneis.
"What do you want AMBU?!" demands a voice from above.
"We'd like to ask you a few questions regarding the demon kid you knew." says Yoko.
After a few minutes the voice replies back "what do you want to know?"
"Anything you can tell us."
There was a delayed answer after this too. "Why do you want to know?" says the voice, more inquiring than demanding.
"It is our mission to locate him." stated Hoshi.
"Very well" answered the voice.
As it happens, Sasuke Uchiha dropps down from above. "You are Sasuke Uchiha?" I inquire.
"Yeah, now what do you want to know about Naruto?" he asks.
I step forward, and bow. "I am Chika Ikuchki, I have spent the last four years with my team searching for leads on our mission. What can you tell us about him?"
"He was a powerful idiot who died in the last war."
"He died?" I asked.
"Yeah, but you're looking for the one with the demon inside him, right?" he asked.
"Hai!"
"Then I suppose I can't help you. I knew the guy a long time ago, but I haven't a clue to where he is now" confessed Sasuke.
"Oh, well, do you know where we can start looking?"
"Well, no....but i'd like to meet him again too...I'll come with you." Hoshi looked at him like he was an idiot...and Yoko fell over.
"Okay, thank you." I replied, not wanting to seem rude. "...But are you sure you want to come with us?"
"Why?" he asked suspiciously...
Suddenly, Arashi-sensei appeared in front of us.
"Yo, found anything yet?" asked our ever impatient sensei.
Sasuke, who had jumped ten feet into the air when sensei had appeared, now took a rough landing a little ways off.
"Well, that's a relief..." sighed sensei. "I never thought you'd find him!"
"Why, sensei?" asked Yoko.
"It's taken you four years already, and until three weeks ago, you haven't had a single lead."
Sensei was right, we had taken that long just to locate a lead. We too, were relieved and disapointed to have you first lead and to have the info be not so comforting.
"You're running out of time, the hokage is getting impatient. If you're lucky, you'll have but one year to complete this mission before she replaces you." warmed Arashi.
The score stands at 0 to 100, we were running out of time fast. It would take a miracle to complete this mission alive, much less complete it successfuly.
None the less, we replied like we were going to complete this mission single handedly, no problems added.
"Hai! Sensei."
"Good. The I'll be off." He dissapeared in a large explosion, gone.
"Oh jeez, you guys've got problems!" states Sasuke bluntly.
"Yes, now where do you suggest we go now?" I say calmly.
