Beware of the fangirl...The diary of a Gaian.
This is the diary of Dawna Celeste, just another ordinary Gaian...or is she?
The Forever Woods.
I didn't get that done properly...I'm stuck in the woods now, with no sign of anything I lost, or any dragons either. Well, it's nice here...I'll write some more.
I followed the Pixie back past Aekea and beyond. We seemed to go a very long distance, and the sun was rising as I stepped into a deep forest. The helmet sent me another message... "WELCOME TO THE FOREVER WOODS. THE WAY IN IS EASIER THEN THE WAY OUT." I didn't like the looks of that, but I went on.
The woods were anything but empty. In fact, it was like an open-air madhouse! People (mostly animal-people of some kind) were fighting, running, screaming, climbing trees, falling from trees, chatting to each other (and chatting each other up), and swimming in the lake I soon found. It was very beautiful, with a waterfall pouring into one end... In fact, the whole place would have been beautiful if it wasn't for the people! Nearly all of them were too preocupied to pay any attention to me, but I tripped over one guy and slashed my own arm with the sword. Then I fell in the lake just under the waterfall, and discovered two important things. One was that water didn't cause the helmet to short (thankfully!). The other was that the waterfall was healing, for the moment my slashed arm went under it, it was healed. I renewed my quest for the dragon, but the only ones I found were the little lizard-like ones people had as pets... Things got wilder from that point, as several fights among other people got nasty, and when the helmet told me to leave the woods, come back to Aekea, and take the train to Barton, I was glad to do so. I had a hard enough time getting out of the woods, and when I finally got out near the river, I was horified to discover that I'd somehow left my cloak and whip, as well as the helmet and Pixie, in the woods! I don't see how I could have, since I was wearing the cloak and whip, linked into the helmet, and had the Pixie practicly clinging to me...but that wasn't the worst! My sword-arm had withered to a hidious black...thing? Talon? Claw? Whatever it was, it was evil. And when I looked at my reflection in the river, I could see that the darkness had taken over the whole right side of my head as well, removing all my hair and turning my right eye into a glowing, purple...something. Clearly the sword's darkness had taken me over as the helmet had said it would! Still, the sword now had a scabbard of sorts that could be slung across my back, so there was one good thing.
I sat by the river and wrote the last entry, then headed back in the derection I thought the woods were in. I found them quickly, but I didn't get any of my stuff back once inside, nor did the darkness leave me. I think I might have to find the dragon first... Unless it finds me! Hey, that's an idea! I'll just take a swim and wait around for a bit...the lake's lovely, and it seems I don't get hungry here. It sort of makes sense...
I'm here, dragon! Come get me!
