Hey <3
This is a paragraph I did for English class.. and i just thought it was worthy of teh journal XD
I will give credit to Liam O'Flaherty, who wrote "The Sniper". Our job was to pick a part of the story, and re-write it.

Exhausted from dodging the treacherous machine gun, I take a few breaths before I fling myself from the ground onto the concrete wall, and took the first step up the ladder. As I peer over, I see a lifeless body crumpled up against a chimney top, and suddenly I feel as if I’ve done something horribly wrong. I swing my leg over, and slowly approach the lifeless figure. My mouth tastes of whiskey, and I can smell gunfire, people shouting in the distance steals my attention for a moment. I turn back to the body I had sentenced to death, and wonder what his name was. I slowly turn his corpse so it is visible, my heart was thudding like a mad-mans who had just escaped from jail. His army jacket was stained with blood, and felt stiff from being numbed in the icy air. And then, my heart sank to my stomach, as I realize that I had killed my own brother.
