Well, I got out of school early today, but it was so I could go compete in the Regional 15th Annual RESA V Science Quiz Bowl. Whoop-dee-doo.

I'm generally reagarded by most people I know to be really smart, and I tend to prove it with academic tournaments like this. I also participate in the schools' Quiz Team (Or Academic Bowl, Quiz Bowl, whatever you want to call it. whee ), and have been on it since Jr High. I'm just good at storing random information and know a lot about most subjects, mostly Science, which is why I got pulled into this tournament as well.

I wasn't happy because I did this last year, and I absolutely hate the format of the rounds and questions. Lots of teams win with lucky guessing than actually having a better team than their opponents. Compared to the regular Quiz Team tournaments that I'm used it, it's ridiculous. I won't go into all the specifics here though. And I really shouldn't be complaining, our team did end up getting a close second place, and we still get to go on to the State Science Quiz Bowl. (I didn't even know there was a State competition until we won. confused ) Oh well.

Later today I helped my mom finish baking cookies 'n stuff for Christmas. We always make lots of baked goods around this time of year, but I hardly ever actually get to eat any of it, because then we send it all to friends, family, and neighbors as a present. I know it's better to give than to recieve, yadda, yadda, yadda, I shouldn't be selfish...but you'd be complaining too if you knew how good my mom's cooking was. gonk

Whoa, it's almost 9:00 pm over here! I really shouldn't be on Gaia right now, as I have a major History test and an English book review due this week, but if I log off, I'll still be too lazy to actually do any of that...Hm... ninja
